About the team

The Swish Analytics DevSecOps and Infrastructure team is looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer who will support our enterprise infrastructure. In addition to supporting you will assist in optimizing incident response, observability, and working with technical teams to improve overall workload resiliency.

Responsibilities

  • Support production systems and help triage issues during live sporting events
  • Monitor the system and respond to incidents to maintain system SLO/SLA, review and follow up production incidents
  • Write and review code, develop documentation, and debug problems, live, on complex distributed systems
  • Optimize and facilitate incident response, conduct root cause analysis and blameless retrospectives
  • Work closely with technical teams to implement, optimize, maintain, scale and debug workloads on Kubernetes using CI/CD, automation tools and scripting languages to deliver tools/software to improve the reliability and scalability of services

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working in an SRE leaning DevOps or full SRE roles
  • 3+ years building CICD pipelines with Github Actions, Gitlab CICD, or similar
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience in managing customer-facing systems in a 24/7 environment including escalations
  • Experience triaging and escalation policies/protocols
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Comfortable with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or similar

Preferred

  • Networking and routing experience
  • Terraform in AWS to support global-scale services
  • Improving observability in an engineering organization
  • Past experience with PagerDuty or similar tools

We are hiring a Mid-level Backend Software Engineer to our GPS (General Platform Services) Focus Area, Payments team in Portugal!

The GPS team is responsible for the platform that serves the entire Wellhub business, processing millions of transactions for users and companies around the globe. We work closely with cross-functional teams and payment service providers to deliver optimum checkout conversion rates and also efficient account management interactions.

The perfect fit for this position is a mid-level software engineer with a history of delivering quality projects and hands-on technical work, willing to work with a team of ~5 engineers working from Brazil and Portugal. Having worked in the e-commerce/financial services and PCI/DSS compliant environments is a plus.

WHO YOU ARE

  • An engineer with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience;
  • Solid experience with RESTful APIs written in Java / Kotlin + Spring (the main stack);
  • Being open to new experiences, willing to learn and grow;
  • Software architecture knowledge (event-driven architectures; serverless);
  • Experienced in software quality and with a test automation mindset;
  • Experienced in working with cloud computing (AWS) and Cloud Native (K8s);
  • Experience with microservices and high-volume distributed systems;
  • Experience with SQL technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or any other relational database;
  • Good communication skills both in English and Portuguese.

The LQA Director is responsible for leading the global LQA teams delivering localization testing services for the Globalize Division. They are also responsible for setting and delivering the strategic plan, and for maximising growth within the targets set by the Globalize Senior Leadership Group. Additionally, this role has direct responsibility for setting up the innovation roadmap for the discipline, as well as ongoing transformation of the service.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • In accordance with the Group’s strategic plans, as well as the objectives set up by the relevant Globalize leader, the Director will set out the strategy and objectives for organic and inorganic growth within the localization testing discipline. The Director will also take a proactive role in the communication of strategy across the discipline and the wider KW group. The Director will report performance on SL performance, KPIs and key activity at the right cadence of frequency.
  • The Director will be commercially aware and data-driven, thinking out of the box where needed and have a good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of different offerings.
  • The Director will be responsible for setting and consistently reviewing priorities with the relevant resource management teams to ensure their discipline is able to efficiently service new opportunities and existing work.
  • The Director has global responsibility for the financial performance of the service line, its growth and profitability. As part of this, the Director will be responsible for setting and monitoring Smart KPIs at all points in the delivery process to ensure the business is constantly improving and performing in the optimal manner, putting technology at the forefront of our offering.
  • The Director should closely supervise and interact with all relevant Business Units to understand the unique challenges and manage the daily flow of work/capacity utilization, develop strategies for performance improvement and giving them the tool-set and support to be able to perform their activities in a satisfactory manner.
  • The Director is responsible for the effective development of the organizational structure of the discipline, which should reflect the strategic direction of the Division and KWS.
  • The Director will collaborate with other Directors within the Division and multiple cross-discipline stakeholders to ensure activity within the discipline is designed and rolled out as part of an integrated roadmap.
  • Overall responsibility for setting the strategy and initiatives every year and promoting an eco-system where these are tracked in continuity and any blockers removed. This tracking should be transparent, documented and easy to follow, with action items and owners clearly defined.
  • Responsible for overseeing, tracking, reporting on and bringing to resolution all CAPAs within their remit, this may include liaising with strategic clients to ensure successful closure, as well as monitoring trends and addressing with the appropriate internal departments (RM, QC etc) to ensure that CAPAs are created, followed up on and resolved in a satisfactory manner.
  • Responsible for setting and adherence to standards and processes, the Director will ensure that common project management and execution tools are used throughout the group to ensure common processes and measurement of objectives, assessment of project, site, regional and global profitability, while evangelizing technology adoption.
  • The Director will work closely with the Sales Director and team, to explain and promote the capabilities of the delivery team, set customer expectations and communicate the USPs of the service(s) under their management.
  • Working with the Sales Director, the Commercial Manager, Marketing, PR Manager, and the Partnership Team, the Director will initiate sales campaigns for the service line that galvanise the sales team and focus their attention on those services at pre agreed periods in the year.
  • Acting as the Ambassador for the service line, the Director will spend time on externally directed activities as the face of Keywords’ for these services. These will include client meetings, game shows, etc.
  • The Director will ensure that at all times the business line has in place the right resources in the right locations such that the profitability of the business line is maximised while balancing the need to accommodate growth with the needs of our clients. This will include activity such as wind down/spin-up of locations, delivery model updates such as fix-to-variable, review of resource engagement principles.
  • In collaboration with Division leadership and key stakeholders, the Director will take a leading role in exploring and deploying changes in the ways of working, upskilling of talent and technology innovation. As part of this, the Director will provide SME advice on risks and potential risk management activities.
  • Part of the Service Line Leadership team, the Director will also be required to take part and be an active voice in regular process improvement initiatives impacting their service line, but also within the larger Globalize team. Additionally, as SME, the Director will be required to deployment new and emerging technology/solutions to accelerate innovative ways of working.
  • As the Ambassador for the activity within and outside of the KW group, the Director will be a driven individual, determined to grow the service line and to secure its position as the undisputed leader in field.
  • Responsible for budgeting for the service line globally and delivering the financial performance of the activity, the SLD will ensure the budget and financial performance is compatible with the requirements and plans of the service line.
