We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join the Collins Aerospace in our Supplier Quality Organization. As a Supplier Quality Assurance Representative (SQAR), you will lead, promote, and drive key processes with passion and dedication.
In this role, you will oversee Collins Power & Controls Supplier products and processes within the region, ensuring top-tier quality and compliance. You’ll interact with various organizations, including suppliers, quality, procurement, operations, and engineering, both electronically and onsite. What You Will Do
- Primary oversite of all supplier quality activity related to compliance and product release for assigned suppliers.
- Execution of assigned audits for quality systems and flight safety in accordance with Collins Supplier Quality flow down requirements.
- Management and timely closure of all corrective actions resulting from audit findings.
- Oversite and approval of Supplier Designated Quality Representatives (DQRs) sourcing product on behalf of Collins Aerospace.
- Review and approval of supplier First Article Inspections for product supporting new programs as well as onsite review for flight safety hardware.
- Validation and communication to various functions on execution of work transfer activity to prevent product escapes.
- Ensure process discipline is being followed.
- Driving robust strategic actions with select processes to improve and maintain quality performance.
- Position requires travel: 25% – 40% travel (Regionally based in Northeastern United States, primarily NY, PA, NJ, and CT).
Qualifications You Must Have
- 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, or related area preferably in the aerospace industry with a continued proven track record of performance achievement and growth.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Position requires the candidate to be located on the East Coast.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Auditor certification (AS9100, AS9120).
- Experience with aerospace industry certifications (AS9100, AS9120, AS9102, ISO9001, AS13002, FAA etc.).
- Knowledge and ability to execute various problem solving and quality tools such as RCCA, 5 Why, PFMEA, etc.
- Experience reviewing and approving First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
- Ability to analyze and manipulate data for status reports and metrics.

As a Staff Systems Engineer within our Systems Engineering & Reliability team, you will be responsible for holistically capturing stakeholder needs; distilling, managing, and validating requirements; developing architectures and optimizing systems, all supported by rigorous analyses. You will also be involved in system realization and integration, verification, validation, and other activities to ensure the delivery of solutions that satisfy stakeholder needs.
What you’ll do
- Responsible for capturing stakeholder needs and requirements across the product life cycle, translating them into system needs and requirements, and validating performance targets, in cooperation with other teams.
- Responsible for deriving and evaluating innovative hardware and software architecture options to satisfy often novel and challenging requirement sets in collaboration with other teams.
- Responsible for defining modules, functions and interfaces, and performing requirements analysis, functional allocation, tradeoff/impact/sensitivity/risk analyses, modeling and simulations, and other evaluations to support requirement and architecture decisions, often entailing building custom tools.
- Responsible for requirements and configuration management in collaboration with program management to ensure alignment in the development of Magic Leap’s products.

The experience you bring
- 7+ years of industry or research experience with wearable systems and optical sensing/display technology, preferably in AR/VR/MR applications, and involvement in the design and development of hardware-software systems.
- M.S (or higher) degree in Optical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or related, plus 7 or more years of progressive industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. We are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
- Strong understanding of technology and product development processes, the Systems Engineering discipline, including Model-Based Systems Engineering, and how to apply these methods to accelerate system development.

Project Overview
At A2 Hosting, there are thousands of servers and devices that our teams need to manage. To accomplish this, A2 uses a custom Django application that drives our datacenter automation. The servers and devices that are managed by this system are a mix of both internal and customer facing systems.
While this app is running and managing our servers, there are a lot of additional moving pieces. The Python app exposes an API to our billing system to handle the lifecycles of some of our hosting products, like bare metal dedicated servers or VPS. Our billing system issues create, terminate, suspend, and resume commands to the Python system and it takes care of running the necessary commands to put the device into the requested state. Because of that, there is a lot of backend code that requires Linux and Network Systems training to fully understand and be successful in this project.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with team members in the deployment and maintenance of company-level infrastructure, including but not limited to Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed Web Server, exim, Postfix, LDAP, FreeIPA, PowerDNS, BIND, MySQL, Varnish, cPanel/WHM, Salt, etc.
- Utilize Python to develop and maintain the in-house Datacenter automation tool
- Perform periodic Python and Django updates to keep our application and its dependencies up to date
- Pair program with other members of the Software Development team
- Participate in escalated troubleshooting of systems in a 24/7 environment, including on-call rotation
- Provide proactive maintenance of a large fleet of servers, including customer environments
- Create and update thorough documentation of deployed systems, troubleshooting processes, infrastructure design, etc.
- Provide guidance and consultation on internal projects and company priorities
Skills you must have
- 5+ years of professional experience in developing production Django applications
