We are looking for a User Experience Design Lead to help drive and define the transactional experience and feature set across our portfolio of sites that meet users’ needs and our business goals. In this role, you will craft simple, functional, and elegant experience design solutions based on a deep and empathetic understanding of our users’ needs. Someone who can build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives while simultaneously and vigorously championing the user experience.

​In-office Expectations: This position offers remote work flexibility; however, if you reside within a commutable distance to one of our offices in New York, Des Moines, Birmingham, Los Angeles, Chicago, or Seattle, the expectation is to work from the office three times per month.

As a UX Lead at Dotdash Meredith, you will be responsible for conducting user research, translating business requirements into concrete ideas, and delivering documented design files to engineering teams. You will own the design of our products and iterate upon it to ensure a great user experience.

To be successful in this role, we’d expect you to: 

  • Thoroughly understand the wants and needs of our users. 
  • Utilize the design thinking process to achieve business goals and produce user-friendly design solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into design deliverables such as journey maps, user flows, wireframes, and mockups.
  • Build interactive prototypes suitable for validating design decisions with users.
  • Cultivate internal knowledge around the design system and the content management system
  • Develop and maintain detailed design patterns that scale across several product teams and world-class brands.
  • Document design guidelines, share knowledge, and collaborate with the engineering team to ensure products ship on time and as designed. 
  • Help lead our efforts to build accessible digital products (A11y and WCAG), building awareness, and accountability across the rest of our product organization.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and experience

Experience:

  • 1-3 years leading projects, 5-10 years as a UX Designer

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong user experience skills including user interviews, usability testing, and interaction design.
  • Experience designing, planning, and building interactive prototypes suitable for validating design decisions with users.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Familiarity with atomic design methodology and an interest in the challenges that come with building and maintaining design systems.
  • Expertise in UX software such as Figma, Miro, UserZoom, etc.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design, testing methodologies, usability best practices, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
  • Basic HTML and CSS skills are a big plus.
  • Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and stakeholders distributed across the country

The Designer, Creative Design role will support our mission through the development, design, and execution of digital, printed permanent and promotional merchandising solutions, as well as retail specific assets for our multi branded portfolio that drives brand preference whilst aligning with global brand and product strategies and priorities to drive growth and profitability. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with Project Managers, Lead Designer, Shopper Marketing, Activation and Category Teams to ensure timely execution of retailer initiatives
  • Understand, embrace, and execute brand treatment, priority initiatives and communication with emphasis in providing support from development to execution with heavy focus on retail display, in-store merchandising and signage, and promotional materials
  • Responsible for the execution of brand and product assets as assigned
  • Brand and product print assets include but are not limited to: retailer-specific display graphics, signage, concept mock-ups, digital renders, key visuals, large format tradeshow graphics, banners, and promotional materials
  • Digital creative asset development includes but are not limited to:  social media ads, paid search ads, native and digital display (static & dynamic)
  • Responsible for leading the timely and precise creation of designs from concept through final delivery of print ready mechanical files based on supplied specifications for several types of print production
  • Prioritize requests appropriately and manage daily workflow effectively
  • Organizing assets, shepherding/traffic to stakeholders, executing asset deployment
  • Review files to ensure adherence to established standards before release or delivery 
  • Collaborate and work closely with other design specialists including but not limited to: lead designers, project managers, production managers, industrial designers, illustrators, retouchers, photographers, etc.
  • May also be assigned additional duties as needed

What You Will Do:

We are seeking a security professional with practical experience in all phases of security assessment and authorization, particularly in federal agency work.  You will perform internal audits of a full range of information security controls and help AIR maintain compliance with both internal and external security requirements. You will lead continuous monitoring compliance and third-party risk management activities to maintain an effective security posture, safeguard AIR’s information technology assets, and ensure alignment with relevant compliance frameworks. Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • The qualified candidate must be a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or have at least 5 years of equivalent system auditing experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with assessing cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google).
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with NIST Special Publications 800-53 and 800-171.
  • The candidate should be able to obtain a Level 6C Security clearance (Public Trust Position).
  • Proven expertise in security best practices and hands-on experience in implementing IT security systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of native cloud security and compliance capabilities and frameworks.
