The Role
We are looking for a Product Design Manager for our OS Design team. The Operating System (OS) team at Cash App takes a horizontal view of the Cash App. It is their responsibility to raise the ceiling of Cash App by defining and governing the overarching product experience, ensuring our customers experience a high quality, intuitive app. They do this through the definition of next generation experiences and creations and governance of CashOS. This team is part innovators, part systems thinkers. OS is an exciting environment at the center of Cash app’s future and we are seeking an imaginative and driven design leader to join our growing team.
This design leader will work closely with our leadership team, other designers across Cash app and cross functional partners to create world-class work. They will be expected to be both a maker and manager directly connected to what ends up in customers hands.
As a maker, they will establish and lead direction on core product experiences, interactions and new features. They will work on all our core surfaces, partnering fluidly between stakeholders to drive direction and help build our OS systematically. They will ensure that the magic of the Cash App brand is felt through our product. They will push the boundaries of what we can achieve and help us create one of the best designed products in the world. You excel at providing direction and constructive feedback to achieve high levels of craftsmanship, ensuring high quality work while collaborating effectively with principals, senior partners, and leadership.
As a manager, they will lead and scale a distributed design team for key work streams within OS. Guiding the careers and development of their team, ensuring the amplification and growth of team members. They will recruit a well-rounded team of designers, promote an inclusive environment for design excellence and growth, facilitate connections across teams and disciplines and product areas, influence the product vision at multiple altitudes and drive positive customer and business results.
This position is full-time and available for remote in the US.

You Have
- You have: 7+ years of experience in design management both leading and building product design teams of between 5-15 people
- Extensive experience working on teams that build own core experience with customers or zero to one projects
- Demonstrated impact on product strategy and user experience in previous roles, preferably within tech or financial services
- A portfolio showcasing experiences you’ve designed for varying platforms and devices (iOS, Android, Responsive Web, etc)
- Encourage innovative approaches to design techniques, enabling the design team to embrace different angles to a design problem
- Outstanding UX capabilities and strong visual design competency, including visual, UI/UX, and systems-design.
- A passion for an iterative process. You think fast on your feet, come up with solutions to important situations, are swift to make decisions and take calculated risks

The Linux Systems Administrator, Jr. will have the opportunity to be a key player in maximizing business continuity not only for TrustCommerce, but also for countless partners and customers that use TrustCommerce products. In this role the Linux Systems Administrator, Jr. will administer and support Linux-based and other data center technologies to maximize technological business continuity, resiliency, resumability, and recoverability. Environment/Conditions
This will be fully remote. This is a full-time position. Monday to Friday. Core office hours will be 8 hours within the range of hours. Depending on assigned responsibilities or projects, some nights and weekends will be required. This position will require ON CALL STATUS. Ability to travel within CON-US roughly four times annually
Requirements
- Minimum four years experience with command-line Linux administration
- Proficiency in command-line Linux administration
- Experience in Linux shell scripting (Bash is a plus)
- Experience with containerization/virtualization (vSphere/vCenter is a plus)
- Experience with large data systems
- Experience with data center operations
- Comfort in 24×7, mission-critical on-call operations
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT related field
In lieu of Degree, comparable experience in Systems Administration related work
Knowledge of secure systems.

What you will do:
- Design and execution of high-voltage substations projects in the 34.5kV – 500kV range with an emphasis on project safety, cost, quality and reliability.
- Generate designs and detailed engineering deliverables working under the supervision of lead engineer
- Detail physical aspects of the engineering design such as general arrangement, elevation, grounding and conduit drawings
- Complete basic engineering calculations related to engineering deliverables
- Follow specific instructions of supervisor or engineers to perform the more complex design assignments requiring application of standard design principles and practices

Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant substation or general electrical T&D designing experience.
- Expertise in the use of computer-aided drafting tools such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Thorough knowledge of the following codes, National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), National Electrical Code(NEC), Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers(IEEE), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and Design Guide for Rural Substations
- Ability to review and coordinate vendor submittals to ensure compliance with design parameters
- Knowledge of substation phase spacing and electrical clearance requirements for live conductors, switch components, and bus supports
- Ability to develop and review a complete set of construction documents (layouts, elevations, details, grounding plans and details, trench and conduit plans and details, single line diagrams, etc.) based upon project/client specification with little or no supervision
- Ability to create control enclosure layout, cable tray layout and details, and conduit drawings
- Knowledge of substation voltages, MV, HV, EHV
- Ability to develop and design substation duct bank
- Ability to interpret engineering calculations and studies and apply same to design requirements
- Ability to apply project schedules to complete tasks in a timely manner and within project budget
- Thorough knowledge of substation structures and equipment including connectors, insulators, switches, and all types of conductors and how they interconnect
- Knowledge in substation construction and/or commissioning techniques and industry standards
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
