Overview
The Senior Application Developer reports to the Application Development Manager of Affinity and will assume responsibility for custom web development within Affinity. The team develops enterprise caliber software applications on the Microsoft platform. The team is led by managers with software development backgrounds and strives to use modern practices and technologies to develop software the right way. There is a dynamic team environment that encourages collaboration among developers to make the whole team better.
You will be responsible for supporting existing applications and implementing process improvements, formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements under general supervision. You will be responsible for supporting acquired custom applications by analyzing, understanding, and converting these applications into our enterprise platform.
This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US.
How you’ll make an impact
- Self-navigate existing custom solutions and make enhancements to them
- Directs, prepares, designs, codes, tests, debugs, and maintains complex computer programs
- Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives
- Work with users to support business applications, and investigate operational problems/system requirements

About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 5 or more years related experience, including the following:
- .NET Core, Standard, Framework
- PHP, LINQ and Entity Framework (EFCore), MVC
- Modern JavaScript libraries (JQuery, AngularJS, React, Blazor)
- Experience with JSON, XML, YAML, POCO objects and Datasets
- Relational database experience, including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle
- Stored procedures, T-SQL, temp tables, transactions, database performance tuning
- Experience with JIRA & Azure DevOps: repository (TFS/GIT), boards (track work), and pipelines (build solutions).
