Data Scientist- Life Cycle Assessment

Position Description: Experienced professionals in life cycle assessment (LCA), with preferably, but not necessarily, a focus on electronics, textile/fashion or agricultural supply chains. These individuals will be responsible for working with some of the largest organizations in the world to translate operational and supply chain data into detailed LCA models that help these organizations assess sustainability-related risks, report on corporate goals and identify promising initiatives to reduce environmental impacts. Highly collaborative positions involving finance, data science and software teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Educated and experienced in the computational elements of life cycle assessment such as:
  • Co-product allocation rules
  • Data normalization
  • Underlying matrix computations used to derive inventory and impact results
  • Uncertainty and sensitivity analyses
  • Proven experience building life cycle inventories, including:
  • Data collection methods (e.g., survey design and deployment)
  • Model development, with focus on process-based
  • Experience completing LCAs compliant with ISO 14040 and 14044 and ILCD International Life Cycle Data system publications.
  • Expertise in life cycle impact assessment methods, with emphasis on spatially explicit models.
  • Content-specific knowledge/experience with electronics, textile/fashion or agricultural LCAs
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, eager to learn new fields and grow with the company

What You’ll Bring:

Education: Master’s or PhD in industrial ecology or a similar engineering or other sustainability-related degree with a heavy focus on life cycle assessment methods. Bachelor will be considered if candidate has demonstrated subject matter expertise and at least five (5) years of experience.

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in leading sustainability related consulting engagements with end-to-end responsibilities including project management, client relations, active leadership and problem solving, and proposal writing.
  • Experience with modelling impact mitigation interventions and building marginal abatement cost curves.

Nice to have skills:

Senior Java Developer

Position Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Back-End Java Developer with expertise in building and maintaining scalable systems using Java and Spring Boot. This role focuses on developing RESTful APIs, managing data with PostgreSQL, and creating asynchronous processes to support robust data-heavy applications. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, lead design discussions and implementation, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Position Description: We are looking for experienced sustainability consultants with preferable, but not necessarily, a focus on electronics, textile/fashion or agricultural supply chains. These individuals will be responsible for working with some of the largest organizations in the world to develop corporate and product impact inventories, set and track sustainability targets, identify embedded sustainability risk in the value chain, and create actionable sustainability strategies. Sustainability consultants are the main contact point with our clients and play a critical role in understanding our clients’ unique sustainability challenges and using the power of our revolutionary AITrack Software-as-a-service (Saas) platform and analyst teams to derive strategic insights to derive innovative solutions.

What You’ll Do: 

  1. Expert knowledge of and demonstrated experience with major market drivers of sustainability, including the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP), the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).
  2. Expert knowledge of and demonstrated experience in Scope 1, 2 and 3 corporate accounting.

The Marketing Programs Coordinator is responsible for support functions related to the creation of digital and print marketing that is distributed to Virtuoso-affiliated member travel agencies, consumer clients, and preferred partners. Duties include collaborating with the Virtuoso Marketing Account Management team to facilitate partner participation, prepare content for deployment, and provide quality assurance to ensure all content is presented accurately and compellingly across Virtuoso’s marketing channels and to increase its value and effectiveness. 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Prepare content for use in marketing initiatives, which includes requesting content from participating partners; verifying all necessary components have been provided; sourcing, cropping, and scaling images; and formatting, proofreading, and fact-checking copy. 
  2. Input prepared marketing content into digital marketing platforms, which include custom email templates (HubSpot); custom landing pages in website content management systems (HubSpot, Kentico, dotCMS); and virtuoso.com product, news article, brochures, and profile fields. 
  3. Participate in internal peer review process for digital and print marketing initiatives, which includes proofreading, fact-checking, and providing feedback to the project manager. 
  4. Coordinate marketing inventory updates in client relationship management system (Magazine Manager), which includes opening and closing campaigns, rescheduling deployments, exporting participation details to Excel and SmartSheet status documents, and notifying colleagues of changes. 
  5. Input proof of marketing completion into Magazine Manager, which may include creating links to samples, screenshots, and/or performance statistics. 
  6. Conduct testing and quality assurance review of digital marketing products, which includes verifying compatibility with web browsers and email clients and ensuring that all links, images, subject lines, personalized fields, and list segments are accurate and working properly. 
  7. Monitor internal- and external-facing email inboxes and respond to messages from staff, partners, members, and clients or escalate to an appropriate colleague to determine the next steps. 
  8. Follow established departmental processes to accomplish company, member, and partner goals and increase the value of Virtuoso marketing programs.

Job Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced Creative Director to lead our marketing creative function. This person will be responsible for the development and execution of compelling creative strategies that elevate our brand, engage our audience, and drive business impact. As a key member of the marketing leadership team, you will oversee all aspects of our creative output, from concept development to final execution, across multiple channels and platforms.
