About ONE

ONE is on a mission to help people live healthier financial lives. We’re doing this by creating simple solutions to help our customers save, spend, and grow their money – all in one place.

The U.S. consumer today deserves better. Millions of Americans today can’t access credit, build savings or wealth, and are left to manage their financial lives through multiple disconnected apps. Almost a quarter of U.S. adults are unbanked or underbanked and roughly 80% of fintech users rely on multiple accounts to manage their finances.

What makes us unique? We are backed by a preeminent fintech investor (Ribbit) and the world’s largest retailer (Walmart), maintain the speed and independence of a startup, and employ a strong (and growing) collection of world-class talent.

There’s never been a better moment to build a business that helps people live healthier financial lives. Come build with us!

The role

Our multidisciplinary Design Studio is looking for a Senior Experience Designer to help us rewrite the narrative around wealth in America. At ONE’s Experience Design Team, you will play a pivotal role in defining innovative ways to help people achieve balance in how they spend, save and grow their money by creating approachable solutions that can give everyone a path toward financial well-being.

This role is responsible for:

  • Working across the Studio with other designers and creatives to develop, refine, and iterate on new and existing experiences.
  • Collaborating with your cross-functional partners, and always with the customer experience in mind, you will ensure we deliver only the highest quality work.
  • Working autonomously and focusing on people’s needs and emotions along their path to financial well-being, you will build strong and compelling user stories, information architecture, data visualization, and interaction designs that support the end-to-end product lifecycle.

You bring

  • 3+ years of professional experience designing detailed, thought-provoking, and informative experiences.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates compelling interactive design work, showcasing a perspective on your creative process and aesthetics.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams delivering high-quality work while advocating for design, brand, research, and user experience continuity.
  • Intermediate knowledge in experience design, in addition to proficiencies in one or more of the following software applications: Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, Principle, Xcode, and Cinema 4D.
  • A proven ability to create innovative concepts via prototypes, storyboards, animations, and other visual mediums.
  • Genuine passion for Design, and building products that people want and will use.
  • Ability to pivot through creative problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Bachelors Degree in HCI, Graphic Design, Media Arts or similar a plus.

Pay Transparency

The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $150,000. Pay is generally based upon the level, complexity, responsibility, and job duties/requirements of the specific position. We then source candidates with the requisite skills, expertise, education, training, and experience. If you are selected for an interview, please feel welcome to speak to a Talent Partner about our compensation philosophy and other available benefits.

Leveling Philosophy

In order to thoughtfully scale the company and avoid downstream inequities, we’ve adopted a flat titling structure at ONE. Though we may occasionally post a role externally with a prefix such as “Senior” to reflect the external level of the position, we do not use prefixes in titles like that internally unless in a position which manages a team. Internal titles typically include your specific functional responsibility, such as engineering, product management or sales, and often include additional descriptors to ensure clarity of role and placement within our organization (i.e. “Engineer, Platform”, “Sales, Business Development” or “Manager, Talent”). Employees are paid commensurate with their experience and the internal level within ONE.

What it’s like working @ ONE

Our teams collaborate remotely and in our work spaces in New York (Tribeca), Sacramento, San Francisco, and Miami.

  • Competitive cash – we don’t discount based on location
  • Benefits effective on day one
  • Early access to a high potential, high growth fintech
  • Generous stock option packages in an early-stage startup
  • Remote friendly (anywhere in the US) and office friendly – you pick the schedule
  • Flexible time off programs – vacation, sick, paid parental leave, and paid caregiver leave
  • 401(k) plan with match

We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees so people can get the work done in the way that suits them best.

We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to quickly build those relationships, we offer the opportunity to meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually. Most of our roles are fully remote, but these opportunities to meet in person will involve limited amounts of travel.

As we expand our owned brands, our Production Manager will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with external merchants and factories to drive efficient processes and timelines and liaise with factories to organize workflows in order to meet specifications and deadlines.

This is a huge opportunity to develop and produce products across multiple items from soft goods to hard goods. • You have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience taking initiative on product development, production, and sourcing processes and procedures
  • You have proven success in keeping everyone in the production process on time and are not afraid to set proper expectations
  • You have solid PLM experience

  • Ensure departmental productivity targets are met and troubleshoot scheduling and material issues
  • Supports high level change management planning as leaders prepare to roll out strategies and/or announce strategic pivots
  • Establish standard operating procedures and ensures standard work is followed

Why You Will Love Working At Babylist
