Title: Fixed Term Technical Coach Software Engineering
Location: Remote
Flatiron School is seeking a Software Engineering Fixed Term Technical Coach to support students through their educational journey.

This role will support our students, acting as a supporting instructor while students are working through the curriculum. Technical coaches work in close collaboration with Instructors to determine how to maximize their time and support for students in our program. Coaches may support students through 1:1 check-ins, paired programming, answering questions and providing guidance during activity time, and leveraging other methods of academic support and intervention in conjunction with their team. This role is a Fixed Term instructional role requiring individuals to teach Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm EST, for a fixed term contract running through October 13, 2023.
Responsibilities:
- Guide students through labs efficiently, effectively, and with kindness when they’re stuck.
- Review lines of code and error messages to teach students how to effectively debug.
- Work hand in hand with the instructional team on monitoring student aptitude and progress; collaborate on remediation plans and support plans as necessary.
- Participate in pilots aimed at bettering our student experience and outcomes.
- Integrate feedback given by students, colleagues, and managers to continually improve.
- Support students on end of phase projects and assessments, helping to identify their strengths and weaknesses.
- Know and demonstrate the best practices around pair programming, pairing 1:1 with students on labs as necessary.
- Embrace change and thrive in ambiguity by helping students and staff with real time efforts, like debugging a student’s project or assignment, and escalating issues that you need help with in a timely manner.
- Create a safe and collaborative environment where students understand that helping their peers betters their own experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Strong Knowledge in Web Development skills including HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React, Python, Flask
- Strong Knowledge of Git and GitHub
- Strong communication skills, and great judgment about what communications to use in a particular situation or on a particular medium

The Role
The Associate Director, Performance and Growth Marketing is a talented, energetic, organized, data-obsessed marketer who champions Presence products. We seek an experienced and versatile marketing manager eager to wear multiple marketing hats. What will you do at Presence?
CAMPAIGN EXECUTION
- Strategize and lead our paid and owned channels, including PPC, paid social (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), display, SEO, and retargeting to increase performance across acquisition channels
- Experience with other marketing channels such as podcasts, affiliate marketing, influencer marketing, and other emerging channels to expand Presence’s reach and improve brand awareness.
- Optimize campaign efficiency (CPL, CPA, CAC) while delivering against growth targets
- Work closely with the marketing, product, and provider teams to develop growth strategies for our products and service offerings
- Own and refine our AB testing strategy to test and improve campaign effectiveness continually
- Developing, implementing, and tracking strategic marketing campaigns that align with Presence’s overall business objectives and KPIs
- Develop customer journey roadmaps which include funnel optimization growth strategies
- Help create, maintain and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract critical insights for future campaigns and GTM strategies
- Develop a customer feedback loop to analyze consumer insights and trends

DATA OPERATIONS AND ANALYSIS

- Prioritize and proactively manage scheduling for all campaigns in the request pipeline, coordinating the workflow of marketing deliverables
- Serve as a subject matter expert on our marketing systems and data flows
- Improve and continuously monitor, track, and report on KPIs
