What you will do:

You will act as a primary subject matter expert on Workday interface and systems configuration; combining expert-level proficiency in Workday integrations, business process design, reporting, and data sets with the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with various stakeholder groups across HR and IT functions to turn complex requirements into tangible deliverables. You will help support and drive the adoption of new functionality, system enhancements, new and existing integrations in Workday–including Workday Studio and PRISM functionality while partnering in developing new integrated technologies.

  • Advises on Workday technical system activities – integrations, business process design/configuration, security fundamentals, calculated fields, report writer, integrations, EIBs, BIRT, Workday Docs, etc.
  • Advise on data governance, documentation and maintenance of Workday report-based interfaces that support HR and various business processes.
  • Collaborates with other Workday technical stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and will advise the technical development and support activities related to configuring integrations in Workday.
  • Defines and recommends new capabilities within Workday, works with functional SME’s to vet against current business gaps and how the gaps can be remediated.
  • Advise others and independently perform feasibility assessment of system/report modifications and enhancements ensuring alignment with HRIS enterprise strategy.
  • Consult and partner with HR Business Analysis Managers, IT and/or Governance Boards to confirm requirements, identify gaps and risks, suggest alternatives, advise on best practices, facilitate discussions and ultimately drive requirements to signoff.
  • Develop enterprise database architectures and advise on scalable, flexible solutions that are extensible to future business needs in areas such as HCM, Comp, Advanced Comp, Security, Payroll, Time, Absence Management, and PRISM with respect to integrations and reporting.
  • Provide functional oversight to ensure there is a consistent approach across each functional workstream and to facilitate activities with the QA Lead that have a multi-functional impact such as testing preparation and tenant build preparation.
  • Understand and anticipate cause and effect impacts around touch-points within integrated systems.
  • Proactively identifies security issues/risks and provides solutions.
  • Assist business users with data and/or process analysis to enable better business decisions.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in HR, Business, Information Technology, however in lieu of a degree, 6 additional years of work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IS or related area required, with 4 years’ experience implementing HR technologies, Workday process modeling and functionality experience required.
  • Experience with process mapping is required.
  • Experience working with HR and Payroll departments strongly preferred.
  • Workday Pro Certifications strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Workday reporting and integrations strongly preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of process mining, security, integrated touchpoints and upstream/downstream analysis to gauge impact of changes, triage and remedy incidents and/or scope level of effort for new initiatives.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with ability to design and develop solutions to meet business needs creatively.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, evaluate and recommend changes to business processes / reports is required.
  • Experience across multiple functional areas of Workday, including data flow, organizational structure and roles within enterprise systems.
  • Expert understanding of cloud-based technologies and object-oriented data models.
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy and other relevant HR data regulations.
  • Experience working in an enterprise technology environment: HRIS enterprise infrastructure with touchpoints such as ServiceNow, AD, Exchange, Firewalls, SSO, and Mobile configurations.
  • $109,900 – $232,900 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
