Develops effective and efficient web and technology solutions. Communicates during the pre-sale and post-sale program phases through the analysis, planning, and implementation of web products.
Scope
Delivers approximately 30-50 client web sites per fiscal year from presale to post sale. May also provide mobile application solutions.
Reporting and Working Relationships
Reports to Director or Manager, Event Registration Solutions. Works closely with team members throughout the organization. Interacts regularly with external clients and vendors, as well as, Event Management, Guest Services Creative Communications and Technology teams.
Primary Responsibilities
50% – Ensures that optimum solutions to business needs have been identified by clearly defining the needs, securing agreement on objectives and priorities, generating alternatives, recommending a course of action, and developing web site in appropriate tool or completing requirements documentation. Make edits or modifications to sites and applications as needed through testing phase. Assist with request for proposal (RFP) technical questions and costing. Works with Sales team members to present web solutions.
30% – Maintains master tracking calendar of web projects. Maintains an understanding of web and mobile technologies in order to design and implement web registration and mobile application solutions that meet present needs while integrating with the future vision. Researches and identifies competitive products of competitors to help with new technology. Educates Meeting Event Managers and works with various support organizations. Conducts project debriefs to ensure understanding of improvement opportunities.
20% – Assists Meeting Event Manager with planning and controlling project progress, as well as keeping customers informed of conditions that threaten successful achievement of objectives. Willingness to travel to be trained on new platforms/offerings, client presentations and on delivery of projects, as needed.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
2. Minimum of 2 years of CVENT experience
3. Understanding of Group Travel processes desired.
4. Proficient in Microsoft products (Word and Excel) and web development experience (HTML and Flashpreferred).
5. Client facing experience desired.
6. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work with aggressive timelines.
