The Web Operations Specialist will be a part of the Digital Marketing team at OneSpan, which is responsible for maintaining our public-facing web properties. In addition to publishing content to and managing the development of the website, the team oversees pay-per-click ads and other online campaigns.
Reporting to the Senior Web Operations Manager, the ideal candidate is a true self-starter and problem-solver when it comes to managing the website of a publicly-traded company. A typical day will span a variety of tasks, from updating our English and nine localized websites, to testing website function across devices and troubleshooting issues related to the display of content and website features.
This is a web generalist role. Critical thinking and communication skills are more important than being a full-fledged programmer or seasoned copywriter. Because you will be triaging day-to-day requests as they come in, you will need to respond to questions in a timely manner, ask for clarification, and interact with other teams—both within OneSpan and external partners, such as our web development agency. You’ll be actioning requests from your manager, the full Marketing team, and stakeholders throughout the company.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Publishing content to OneSpan.com and other web properties
- Function-checking the lead-generation aspects of our website
- Collaborating with content writers and product marketing managers to keep web content up to date
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-4 years of web operations experience
- Web Publishing Experience: Whether it’s working on a blog or a larger content management system, you need hands-on experience taking written content and pushing it out into the world
- Basic HTML or CSS skills: Being able to program is not required; however, you will problem-solve requests that may require additional web development
- Basic graphic-editing skills: While you won’t be asked to fill the shoes of a graphic designer, you need to perform basic functions, such as resizing and remixing existing graphics
- Writing skills: You are comfortable collaborating with writers and even improvising small edits to their copy. What works in a Word document does not always work in a particular spot on the web. You can step in to propose a quick fix. Being able to catch copy edits is a bonus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a corporate environment and/or digital agency
- Experience in:
- Drupal or a comparable CMS
- Marketo or a comparable marketing automation platform
- Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform
- Web personalization processes and platforms
- Web development
- Google AdWords
- Microsoft Excel
- Multilingual skills
