Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Web Developer to join their team as they embark on an exciting journey of transitioning and upgrading their existing website from scratch. The current website has become outdated and is limiting capabilities with plugin and module additions. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact by playing a pivotal role in shaping their online presence.
This is a fully remote, minimum 6-month assignment, with excellent possibility for extension. Initially, this role is 20 hours per week (flexible), with the potential to increase to 30 hours over time.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the part-time Senior Developer to spearhead the transition and upgrade of the website on the WordPress platform.
- Develop and implement cutting-edge features and functionalities.
- Ensure seamless user experiences and optimal performance.
- Expertise in PHP, jQuery, and WordPress will be critical in creating custom modules and plugins to meet unique requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- Ability to read and understand module-based code.
- Be able to create modules and plug-ins from scratch
- Proficient in PHP, jQuery, and WordPress with a proven track record of successful web development projects.
- Knowledge of Bootstrap and experience in creating responsive design code to deliver an exceptional user experience across all devices.
- Ability to read and understand module-based code, enabling you to seamlessly integrate and optimize existing components.
- Skilled in creating modules and plugins from scratch to tailor the website to our specific needs and enhance its functionality.
- A portfolio that showcases your expertise in working with heavily conversion-focused sites, technical SEO optimization, and B2B sites.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, comfortable working in a remote environment and ready to contribute to our dynamic team.
