Location: New York, NY

Job Description

Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience. Execute all visual design stages from concept to final handoff to engineering. Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks. Work with engineering to see the implementation of visual design meets the specifications set at hand off. Create high-fidelity composites, storyboards, user flows, and process flows to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Promote UX vision and design guidelines, best practices, process, and standards. Position reports to Unite Us HQ in New York, NY, however, the incumbent can work from home anywhere in the United States. Position requires domestic travel up to 10% of the time as is customary and needed for the occupation. Annual salary of $120,474.

Job Requirements

The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Information or closely related field. The qualified candidate must have at least 4 years (48 months) of experience with all the following: (a) Creating clickable prototypes, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps; (b) Building and conducting usability and preference tests including analyzing user behavior to improve usability and layout; (c) Verifying design compliance through UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) testing; (d) Designing interfaces for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices, (e) Working with and executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off; and (f) Utilizing all the following tools/technologies: Figma, Sketch, Invision, HTML, CSSS, Agile, Scrum, QA (Quality Assurance) Testing, and QC (Quality Control) Testing. Position reports to Unite Us HQ in New York, NY, however, the incumbent can work from home anywhere in the United States. All experience may be gained concurrently.
