Job Overview
As a Lead User Experience Designer, you have a passion for creating simple, elegant, consistent, easy-to-use experiences. You will be responsible for owning key strategic design initiatives for the Software Products Group at Right Networks. This role will oversee a small team of designers with the goal of taking a customer first approach to both new product development and delivery, fundamentally changing the way we think about and implement design.
This is a remote work position.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of UX Designers
- Manage and maximize resource allocation toward key design initiatives
- Deliver a UX vision, along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates, that actualize the larger vision over time
- Deliver user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups, design patterns, user interface specifications, user journeys, personas, scenarios, low and high-fidelity prototypes, etc. to communicate interaction and design ideas
- Identify and solve user and business problems through creative, design-led solutions
- Partner with internal cross- functional partners (design, product, engineering, research, project management) to execute design strategy, ideation, and implementation
- Drive Customer and Employee interaction for feature and design validation
- Drive collaborative design sessions according to our team priority list
- Think strategically, execute methodically, and act decisively
- Evaluate, understand, and implement modern UX principles and toolset
- Manage external design partners and contractors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design, visual design, psychology, business, human-computer interaction (HCI), related field or equivalent professional experience preferred
- 4+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
- Excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal; the ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
- Can provide an online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating user-centered design solutions
- Previous experience managing teams preferred
- Experience working in Agile development process preferred
- High level of proficiency working in Figma required
- Experience working with design agencies preferred
- Experience working in Jira and Confluence preferred
