User Researcher
Steyer Content – Remote
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, creative, and customer-focused user researcher to join our large tech clients design team that works on a variety of products, including most recently a large team collaboration and communication application.
In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with an interdisciplinary research, design, and engineering team, and across a variety of platforms and form factors (desktop, tablet, mobile, etc.). You will use a wide range of research methodologies including field research, traditional usability tests, protype testing, surveys, and telemetry research to help define, and ultimately deliver the next generation of experiences.
If you are the right fit, you are passionate about creating user experiences that empower users to be more productive and efficient. You have experience developing and executing research methods throughout all phases of software development to make sound recommendations and solve design problems. You have stellar oral and written communication skills and are effective at garnering support around research plans, ensuring appropriate action is taken within the highly collaborative environment.
This is a remote, contract engagement that could go for 12-18 months in duration, but budget will be re-approved on a quarterly basis. Pay rate range, depending on experience level: 55-60/hr. W2.
Required:
- 5+ years of enterprise-level industry experience conducting successful, collaborative user research and driving tangible outcomes with product teams
- Strong data analysis skills in both qualitative and quantitative studies
- Proven expertise in designing and conducting a range of formative and iterative research methods applicable to all product stages
- Ability to develop and maintain research plans and leverage data to inform decision-making
- Proficiency in articulating the implications of results in clear and compelling ways and delivering actionable insights through thoughtful storytelling
