Employer: Yelp

Yelp is looking for a well-rounded and well-organized individual to join our User Operations team. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail (to catch inconsistencies or red flags as you evaluate businesses/licenses), a ready appetite for new information (you’ll need to get familiar with the laws and regulations governing myriad industries), and a sharp memory (as you track and record the outcomes of your research).

In this role you will support new and existing advertising products by evaluating businesses for inclusion through ensuring their good standing and measuring claims against them. Documentation, organization and a ready command of our guidelines will be essential as you’ll be called upon to communicate this information to different audiences: business owners, customers, and various internal stakeholders. In this role, you’ll be on the forefront of Yelp’s efforts to improve business verification for our users. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to get a wide perspective on how different businesses in different industries operate, and what is required of them to do so legally. You’ll get exposure to different facets of business such as day to day operations, quality assurance, project management and execution, and more.

This is a full-time remote role based in the United States.

  • The patience and focus to deliver consistent, quality work. Our team works on highly visible and impactful products, where it’s critical to take an extra moment to ensure that everything is correct.
