As one of the Technology Portfolio Managers on our team you will be responsible for managing the contract life cycle for Tier 1 and 2 Hardware and Software vendors in coordination with the respective product owners and SMEs, which includes changes, modifications and the enforcement of performance, including incentives and remedies. You will act as the key liaison and subject matter expert for all product/contract-related activities. This includes assisting with negotiating contract pricing, terms, conditions, modifications, incentives and remedies, while working with key stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are met. Additionally, this position facilitates the Procurement / Sourcing and Contracts execution processes, resolving problems, mitigating delays, assisting with audits, mediating disputes, and escalating issues.

Responsible for independently leading, planning, and directing multiple complex infrastructure initiatives consisting of one or more support teams. Ensures the completion of complex or long-term infrastructure-related implementations within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. Delivers infrastructure architectural solutions and coordinates project requirements into specific system or process designs for complex leading-edge solutions.

Some of the main responsibilities include:

  • Developing strong relationships with IT Leaders, Engineers, Product Owners and IT Procurement Sourcing to support enterprise objectives, influence key stakeholders, and allow for jointly developing strategic business strategies.
  • Developing a knowledge base of negotiating strategies, best practices, and negotiation tactics.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders and development teams to define product and service requirements with product owners and SMEs.
  • Supporting and assisting in the development of long-term strategic roadmaps for Tier 1&2 HW/SW product with owners and SMEs.
  • Assisting in strategy and planning with the company s business goals and objectives with product owners and SMEs.
  • Understanding relevant market trends and vendors. Track, gather and analyze market and industry data.
  • Making suggestions for improvements to processes, procedures, workflow and organizational structures for TPM and supporting teams.
  • Promoting the use of a shared infrastructure, cloud solutions, virtual environments and application roadmaps to reduce costs.
  • Assisting stakeholders in documenting and evaluating cost-benefit and ROI analyses anaginst budget (2X2 development).
  • Managing and facilitating review sessions with key stakeholders to evaluate proposals against requirements and financial fit against budget.
  • Assisting with commercial and financial arrangements with vendors to include billing, invoicing, performance incentives, and internal chargebacks, where appropriate.
  • Facilitating and driving TPM processes while supporting Procurement Sourcing and Contract Management procedures, templates and workflows to meet business / contacting timelines for product renewals and new agreements.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to establish a negotiations strategy achieving business and financial targets / goals.
  • Working with Procurement Sourcing colleagues to align business requirements for quotating (RFQs) and requests for proposal (RFPs).
  • Working with contract legal teams to develop and insert appropriate contract language that supports business requirements and SLAs as necessary.
  • Working with all teams (security, compliance and tax, HR, accounts payable [AP], and so on) to ensure that vendors are performing in accordance with existing requirements, SLAs, and regulatory/compliance obligations in times of Audits (Internal/External), Renewals, and new Deals.
  • Working with vendors and key stakeholders to adhere to contract update and change processes.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

  • Minimum: 75,400
  • Maximum: 158,300

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus with exposure to technology providers and/or business clients.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in liaising with middle and senior management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in IT Asset Management roles (hardware or software) or demonstrable experience of working with IT asset management professionals to deliver ITAM capability and improved business outcomes.
  • Experience in management role, including engagement with sourcing, procurement and vendor management, business stakeholders and frontline operational IT staff.
  • Experience working with key departments (security, compliance, finance, tax, AP, legal and procurement), and knowledge of procurement, vendor management practices.
  • Experience with building business requirements for digital technology tools and services, developing business cases, and selecting solutions using RFP documentation and processes.
  • Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions (e.g. VMware, Citrix).
  • Tertiary qualifications in financial accounting, project management, data analysis, legal / paralegal qualification that includes contracting.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM).

Education

  • Verifiable College degree and/or 8+ years of work experience in Information Technology.
