Arcadia is looking for an experienced and innovative Technical Sales Solution Architect to join our dynamic sales team. As a Technical Sales Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering technical solutions that meet the complex needs of our clients. Your expertise in understanding customer requirements, crafting technical strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams will be essential in driving successful sales engagements and achieving revenue growth.

The Technical Sales Solution Architect enhances and supports the sales process for clients, territory sellers, and Arcadia leadership through engaging with prospects and clients to explore the technology and use cases of the healthcare data platform. This role acts as a market-facing subject matter expert on Arcadia, our healthcare data platform, and our suite of solutions. The Technical Sales Solution Architect will represent Arcadia through attendance at conferences and events, networking with prospects and establishing yourself as a technical solution expert.

What You’ll Be Doing

Pre-Sales Support:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including business users and technical teams, to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Participating in technical discovery, use case development, and other business and technical requirements development
  • Supporting all technical aspects of assigned sales pursuits including customer education, introductory meetings, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, etc.
  • Conducting technical assessments and feasibility studies to ensure our solutions align with customer needs
  • Identifying and handling key customer technical objections and prescriptively guiding them to success
  • Developing and delivering world-class product demonstrations via web conference, on site meetings, trade shows, etc.
  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to achieve the desired functionality and performance goals. This could include interacting with other technology vendors to understand their products and solutions that can be integrated into the overall architecture and technical landscape for a client
  • Actively participating in efforts to standardize processes and handoffs between marketing, sales operations, sales, product management, and operations to facilitate an efficient end-to-end business model
  • Supporting and responding to functional and technical elements of requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Assisting in the development of proposals, SOWs, and other prospect/customer planning documents
  • Supporting the client contracting process as/when requested
  • Providing input into the creation of sales and marketing materials
  • Providing and supporting internal team and external customer training and enablement as needed

Solution Design and Architecture Design Recommendations:

  • Utilizing your advanced knowledge of AWS and other big data cloud technology (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc.) to design scalable and secure solutions that leverage cloud technologies
  • Developing the overall system architecture that defines how different components of the solution interact with each other, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Defining integration points between various components and systems, ensuring smooth data flow and communication
  • Identifying potential risks and challenges in the solution design and proposing mitigations to address them
  • Creating comprehensive documentation, which could include architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications, to ensure clear communication across all teams and stakeholder
  • Providing actionable use case expertise internally and externally, informed by existing customer input, potential customer needs, and market research

Relationship Building and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor, understanding client business goals and aligning our solutions to address their challenges effectively
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, product, testers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure a coordinated and agreed-upon approach to solution development
  • Creating prototypes or proof-of-concepts to validate the feasibility of architectural decisions and to demonstrate key functionalities to cross-team stakeholders
  • Identifying and communicating possible product/solution improvements to Product Management and Arcadia Leadership
  • Documenting and cataloging information on how customers use Arcadia’s products/solutions for ongoing refinement of best practices or other uses
  • Consistently cultivating internal working relationships with other Arcadia team members including but not limited to sales operations, finance, product management, and operations, resulting in effective team work, customer delight and company success

Technical Expertise:

  • Serving as a subject matter / domain expert on our product offerings and technical capabilities
  • Staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and AWS services, and effectively communicating their benefits and potential use cases to clients
  • Providing guidance and recommendations to clients regarding best practices for implementing our solutions within their existing infrastructure
  • Pursuing continuous learning and self-development through a program of company-approved selected reading, seminars, certification programs, and participation in continuing education
  • Performing other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience (7+ years preferred) in technical solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, or related roles.
  • An understanding of healthcare, healthcare IT, and value-based care (alternative payment models) is foundationally important.
  • Experience with or knowledge of Healthcare EMRs, EHRs, claims systems, practice management systems, and/or population health technologies.
  • Strong foundation in technology to help design solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Excellent presentation skills to deliver compelling and persuasive technical demonstrations, pitches, and proposals.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate creative technical solutions. The Technical Solution Architect plays a strategic role in helping clients achieve their long-term goals. You should be able to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and long-term partnerships.
  • Effectively explain concepts and technical solutions to both novice and advanced audiences, including the ability to grasp complex business scenarios and translate them into understandable and cohesive technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, listening, analytical, and problem-solving skills are critical to understand client requirements and explain complex technical concepts in a way that is understandable to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to constantly evolving technology landscapes. A successful Technical Solution Architect stays up to date with the latest trends, tools, and methodologies to recommend modern and relevant solutions to clients.
  • Ability to collaborate with various departments and levels of the organization (Data Management, Product, Analytics, Leadership, Sales, etc.) You will work closely with these cross-functional teams to ensure the solution you’re proposing is feasible, realistic, and aligned with Arcadia’s capabilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, PPT, Excel)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

Would Love For You To Have

  • A Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on technology management or a Master’s in Computer Science is preferred.
  • Experience with or knowledge of SQL, JSON, XML, HTML, as well as Internet protocols and security.
  • In-depth AWS knowledge, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Redshift etc. Knowledge of their features, use cases, limitations, and integration possibilities is essential.
  • Cloud Security Expertise, including an understanding of AWS security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security (VPCs, Security Groups, NACLs), and compliance standards (such as HIPAA, etc.)
  • Specialized training and technical certifications, including AWS certifications that showcase expertise in specific AWS domains (i.e., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
