Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Technical Content Writer (Install Guides) to join our client’s team. The highly technical content writer to support the creation of installation and deployment documentation. The project will support a larger initiative to publish a blueprint-style guide targeting AI infrastructure decision-makers and technical stakeholders. The highly technical content writer will create hardware installation guides, system configuration walkthroughs, and rack-level deployment documentation. This includes translating engineering data into clear, step-by-step content for hyperscale and enterprise infrastructure teams.

Scope of Work:
- Develop clear, accurate, and technically precise install and configuration guides
- Document hardware architecture details including GPU and CPU configurations, rack integration procedures, and cabling diagrams
- Detail cooling infrastructure requirements (direct-to-chip, air-cooled, and liquid solutions)
- Collaborate with engineers and SMEs to validate content and ensure alignment with company standards
- Incorporate visuals, schematics, and references from product briefs, blog content and documentation
- Ensure documentation is aligned with OCP/Open Rack V3 specifications and turnkey delivery standards
Deliverables:
- 1–2 installation/configuration guides (PDF or Wiki-ready format)
- Visual aids annotated with callouts for key install elements (racks, trays, CDUs, etc.)
- Support for content integration into a final ~4000-word blueprint document
- Participation in up to 3 SME interviews and 3 revision cycles (as needed)
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years experience in technical writing for enterprise hardware, servers, or data center infrastructure
- Proven ability to write installation and deployment guides for complex systems
- Familiarity with PCIe/Gen5, NVSwitch/NVLink, and GPU server platforms
- Strong grasp of rack-level integration, including power/cooling infrastructure and modular hardware
- Ability to interpret CAD diagrams, mechanical drawings, and platform specs
- Experience with OCP standards, Open Rack V3, or OAI specs is a plus
- Excellent written communication, diagram annotation, and content structuring
