Ideal Candidate:
- Medical office experience 1-2 years
- Knowledge of related medical terminology
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer and technical knowledge including
- Bluetooth connectivity and set ups.
- Willing and able to drive own vehicle to perform tasks.
- Have excellent customer relations skills.
Preferred: Associate Degree
Responsibilities
- The TA will explain the technical aspects of the telemedicine equipment and visit to the patient while setting up the equipment in preparation of the visit. Then connect the patient with the clinical provider via video on a computer or tablet.
- The clinical provider will remotely examine the patient and direct the TA in what exam tool is required.
- The TA will place the device on the patient for the clinical provider and intervene on any technical issues per their training.
- The TA is not to intervene or perform any clinical tasks.
- When the clinical provider ends the visit with the patient, the TA will clean the equipment and exit the patient home.
- If the patient has additional questions or concerns once the provider has left the video visit, the TA will direct them to call the medical office for assistance.
- Remote Monitoring Technical AssistantSets up appointments with patients to install and remove remote monitoring devices.
- Instructs patient and/or caregivers on correct use of remote monitoring units including proper use of blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter, scale, and communication functionality.
