Description:The Aero IT Solutions Architect sets the overall technology direction of the product/group by leveraging common architectural patterns, building and maintaining a future-state blueprint of product architecture, and sponsoring innovation. Collaborates across Enterprise IT and the Business Functions to understand business needs and objectives.
The Engineering and Leading Services PLM system (AeroSource) team is seeking a highly skilled technical expert to design and oversee the architecture of our systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our software and system solutions align with business requirements, are scalable, secure, and maintainable in the long term. The architect will work closely with the AeroSource and EMDS Chief Engineer, Solutions Architects, and the Applications PM to ensure that system designs meet business requirements and are aligned with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
System Design & Architecture: Define the overall structure of systems, including components, modules, and interfaces.
Technology Selection: Choose appropriate frameworks, databases, and tools to optimize performance and security.
Scalability & Performance: Ensure systems can handle growth, increased workloads, and high availability.
Security & Compliance: Design secure systems that comply with industry standards and corporate policies, and mitigate system risks.
Integration & Interoperability: Ensure seamless integration with other enterprise systems, APIs, and third-party services.
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Address complex technical challenges and improve system reliability.
Documentation & Communication: Maintain architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and communicate system design to stakeholders and other leaders.
Future-Proofing Systems: Plan for emerging technologies and evolving business needs to ensure long-term system viability.
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong technical expertise in system architecture and design
- Experience with PLM systems and software development methodologies
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks
- Deep knowledge microservices and enterprise architecture
- Strong Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and automation practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- US Citizenship required for this role
Desired Skills:
- Familiar with Siemens Teamcenter Architecture
- Experienced in designing and implementing Linux-based architectures, including system configuration, performance optimization, and security hardening
- Skilled in network architecture, with expertise in designing, building, and maintaining complex networks
- Proficient in developing and implementing network architectures that meet specific business requirements, including scalability, reliability, and security
