Analyzes product field failure data. Designs, develops, and implements engineering corrections to address post-release product changes and customer-reported issues. Supports various operational groups in determining root cause and resolution of data issues. Collects and provides product field failure data to quality assurance and other internal functions. Develops and implements design and process improvements to existing products as required and documents any changes.

This role specializes in Android applications that integrate with cloud-based SaaS solution and involves analyzing and diagnosing customer incidents, resolve complex technical problems and support ongoing updates to deliver a high-quality user experience.

This role is open in Alpharetta, GA USA/ Lincolnshire, IL/ Austin, TX/ Holtsville, NY USA and can be performed remotely in US!

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for diagnosing, debugging, and resolving software defects in existing Android appicaltions

  • Investigate, debug and resolve issues in production android applications that interact with cloud SaaS systems
  • Respond to resolve critical issues including developing and deploying hotfixes
  • Maintain technical documentation and knowledge based
  • Assist with implementing minor updates/enhancements to improve user experience
  • Generate user data reports for internal and external customers
  • Define and implement requirements for new tools to aid in the analysis and solving of complex problems
  • Ensures all engineering changes orders are approved and documented for use by teams
  • Exercises judgment (within broadly defined policies and practices) in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • May coordinate the activities of other personnel
  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Interacts with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines. Represent the organization as the principal customer contact.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ year experience or Master’s degree and 4+ year experience
  • Experience with Kotlin and Java.
  • Knowledge of Android frameworks, and libraries and experience with Android debugging tools
  • Experience with API Testing and Postman.
  • Experience with OAuth, JSOZ
  • Experience in writing SQL Queries. SQL or noSQL Databases experience is desired.
  • Experience working on Cloud Platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP – preferred), or AWS/ Azure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Python, Gradle, Cloud Functions and Microservices architecture is a plus.
  • Experience with one of the following Cloud Data, Big Data, Apache Beam/Google Dataflow, Spark, ETL and Google Big Query
  • Experience with BI tools like Google Data Studio, Lookr, Tableau or Power-BI
  • GCP Certification
  • Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with Internet of Things (IoT)
