We are searching for a leader that can lead a complex portfolio of products, including products with high levels of promotional volumes, a diverse set of external manufacturing sites and alternate customer channels, and/or a high degree of demand seasonality. This individual contributor must have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other departments and stakeholders
The supply planner will work within the Planning, Analysis & Change Readiness leader to scope, plan and implement business process improvement projects focused on ensuring compliance, while also improving effectiveness and efficiency, in support of supply chain operations business goals.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
- Coordinate with internal teams, such as procurement, production, and logistics, to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas of improvement in the supply chain process.
- Anticipating stock demands based on current and future business functions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to establish strong relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
- Own and develop production and supplier capacity models and key levers to optimize manufacturing and suppliers for optimized total cost of supply
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually improve the supply chain process.
- Ensuring the business has a steady flow of stock without over capitalizing on materials.
- Suggesting changes to inventory warehousing to meet increased or reduced demand.
- Develop and manage the SIOP process with demand planner: Establish and manage the overall SIOP process, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, and capacity planning.
- Lead SIOP meetings with demand planner : Facilitate regular SIOP meetings to review performance against the plan, resolve issues, and make adjustments to the plan as needed.
- Improve processes: Continuously evaluate and improve the SIOP process to optimize business performance and enhance customer satisfaction.
What you bring:
- 10-15+ years experience in supply chain planning such as data modeling, production planning or materials planning.
- Ability to travel up to one week per quarter in the continental USA
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related field or a related field with 10+ years of experience in regulated industry such as clinical laboratory, medical device, or manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in supply chain software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Differentiating Qualifications
- LEAN 6-Sigma TQM certifications and projects from an well-respected training agency
- Proficient in using various software and tools, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, forecasting software,
- In Depth knowledge of advanced mathematical and forecasting techniques
- Experience in an operational lead role
- Preferred working experience in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban).
- Preferred working experience in regulated manufacturing or supply chain operations
This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
