The Role
Bitly is seeking a Strategic Program Manager to join its Marketing team. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional leads across the organization to build, enable, and implement operational improvements for global marketing strategies. Reporting directly to the CMO, you will manage critical cross functional projects and will also drive the agenda for key strategy meetings so that we can gain alignment and share business performance with multiple audiences against our business priorities.
As the first person in this role, you will have the opportunity to influence our project and planning practices, shape the departmental operations, and provide valuable feedback to how we operate as a team. You will act as a representative for the department, ensuring the CMO and business leaders are advised of all priority projects, escalation issues, upcoming events, and dependencies needed across the business. You play a key role in setting the strategy for the marketing team and helping ensure the right focus is brought to the forefront. In short, we are looking for a true operational superstar who is excited and energized to up-level the strategy and operations of the marketing team!
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities: Departmental Operations
- Partner with the CMO to coordinate strategic planning, reporting, and execution of department and company OKRs within marketing; including review process and alignment to key company-wide initiatives
- Partner with cross functional project managers and Chief of Staff to provide leadership with recommendations to improve collaboration across the department and organization as it relates to business priorities
- Partner with CMO to lead quarterly and annual planning processes and develop an ongoing quarterly marketing roadmap
- Plan regularly cadenced strategic planning, marketing all hands, and quarterly KPI meetings
- Identify high impact projects and/or processes that need to be created or improved. You will develop project plans, get buy-in from stakeholders, and execute on those plans.
- Drive efficiency by managing capacity and resource planning across the marketing team, and making recommendations on hiring based on capacity constraints
- Ensure understanding of end-to-end marketing processes and supporting systems
Responsibilities: Project Management
- Partner with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, outcomes and complete project charters
- Manage project reporting and status updates, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget: Identify and track critical milestones and help clear roadblocks. Oversee the marketing intake process and all requests are tracked and updated in a timely manner
- Use our project management systems delegate tasks, create schedules for marketing teams, generate reports, and manage ongoing sprint planning for delivery teams
- Drive Prioritization and ensure the team is aligned and working on the most impactful projects; work as a liaison for the marketing team to manage focus and the need to re-prioritize initiatives
- Lead the program management and delivery of multi-channel programs and strategic cross functional projects. This spans across brand, creative, acquisition, and product marketing
- Effectively present and communicate project statuses, risks and key decisions within supporting teams, stakeholder meetings, and with senior management on a regular basis.
Who You Are
- 5+ years experience in a project or program operations management role, particularly in a marketing agile environment
- Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
- Proven experience in managing processes and projects
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Superior organizational skills including attention to detail and time management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with comfort managing diverse perspectives and challenging viewpoints
- Strong facilitation skills including the ability to drive consensus in difficult situations
- Breadth of skills, with the ability to move between strategic planning and ideation, as well as hands-on execution
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills

The annual cash compensation range for this position is below. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed.
Pay Range
$125,000—$150,000 USD
