About the role:

We are looking for an energetic, highly organized, A-player who loves a fast paced, high performing environment. Working within Marketing, this role will support the planning and logistics for Samsara’s annual customer conference, Beyond, including hotel management, ancillary programs & events, the Beyond Bash evening celebration and more! Your work will be critical across stakeholders in marketing, sales, customer success, and leadership in driving a best-in-class customer experience through programming and engagement that align with the company’s business objectives.

In this role, you will:

  • Own end-to-end event logistics and vendor management including audio visual, food and beverage, social elements, and travel and transportation; create detailed production timelines and run-of-show documents
  • Manage overall program planning & execution including stakeholder interlock, executive level approvals, timelines, budgets, vendors, floor plans, catering, facilities set up/breakdown, collateral production, registration, hotel room blocks, signage, etc.
  • Collaborate with Design team & external agency to develop creative elements which enhance the attendee experience; including stage set design, graphics and visuals, and video production
  • Manage multiple concurrent events/programs with overlapping schedules
  • Develop and manage program budget, reconciliation, & expenses and notify manager of status
  • Understand Samsara’s brand and collaborate on and contribute to developing overall event experiences that reflect it
  • Bring energy, creativity, and new ideas to build a successful event experience
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 3+ years of experience in event marketing, people operations, and/or project management
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required along with the ability to travel 20% of the time for live events

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and budget-management skills, with the ability to work across all levels of an organization
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and able to run multiple concurrent project demands within established timelines
  • Creative skills to design events that fit the Samsara brand and produce exceptional experiences for our customers
  • Ability to work independently in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
