The mission of the Channels team is to send the right content to the right user at the right time using the right channel. As a core member of the Channels Relevance team, you’ll work with billions of events and terabytes of data generated every day to personalize Reddit notifications for each user on the platform, helping them connect with their communities and discover the best of Reddit.
How You’ll Have Impact
You will own projects from ideation to production instead of being stuck making small incremental gains on enterprise systems. You’ll work with a super talented, cross-functional team of Backend and Machine Learning engineers to build and own the infrastructure that supports personalization of all notification surfaces at Reddit.. We are a team of builders that value impact, personal growth, openness and kindness.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
- Past experience building high throughput, fault tolerant services using modern distributed systems tooling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and has a passion to be a mentor / leader to other engineers.
- Customer focused and self-directed with a bias towards delivering value.
- Past experience working with data pipelines, and machine learning teams is a plus.
