What are we looking for? An experienced Senior or Staff level Product Designer to help guide the visual design direction for www.acuityscheduling.com and partner with PMs and Eng across the group to build a growth engine within the Acuity product experience. We are looking for a strong background in visual, web, mobile-first interaction design and design-systems, especially those within Saas product-focused. You should be comfortable working closely with product managers, engineers, user research, content strategy, analytics and product marketing. You will own the full user journey of our scheduling experiences, and documenting the access points to/from Squarespace, including how our new brand guidelines impact the overall end to end product experience across all surfaces.
You will report to the Product Design Director of Acuity Scheduling.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Summary: You will be responsible for improving the current experience of Acuity Scheduling through top of funnel from acuityscheduling.com throughout the entire customer lifecycle. You will also work heavily with other designers to develop unified, new concepts that push the entire experience forward.
- Think holistically about the user journey and product ecosystem
- Create thoughtful, elegant solutions to complex problems, and present those solutions clearly and effectively
- Utilize and improve upon existing design paradigms, while simultaneously pushing to evolve our design language and systems by collaborating with our Design Systems team.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams from concept through delivery and beyond and maintain clear team alignment around goals and priorities
- Contribute to OKRs, product strategy, vision, and roadmap by working closely with PM and Engineering partners as well as talking to CustOps, users and looking at data in equal measure, to help define key metrics in order to track success and business impact
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing and Brand, UXR and UXCS to develop and deliver product consistency that is relevant and on-brand, such as information architecture, sitemaps, and wireframes that tell a cohesive story of opportunities for improvement.
- Able to mentor or coach more junior designers through pairing and ongoing relationship development.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of experience
- Deep experience with sketching, wireframes, visual design, and prototyping for product and web design experiences, as well as an affinity for consistency, color, typography, photography, and animation with a mobile-first mindset.
- Deep experience with, facilitating and understanding of UX methodologies including research, prototyping, testing, and iterating with an experimental and iterative mindset.
- Can go broad and deep in your work – use of a systems approach to design, applying service design and information architecture, with the ability to also dive into the work with a keen eye for even the smallest of details.
- POV and passion for products you design and the impact they have in the world
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browsers, and mobile devices
A portfolio of 2-3 case studies, relevant product and UX design work displaying current trends in design and technology and speak to the impact of the design decisions on the overall user experience as well as the business needs is required for consideration for a Staff Product design role.

Cash Compensation Range: $170,000 – $299,000 USD
The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.
In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
