About the role:
Join us! The Classy team is searching for our next Staff Machine Learning Engineer to help oversee end-to-end implementation of machine learning products into our data function. You will collaborate with an accomplished team of individuals to drive impact for our users and our business.
What you’ll accomplish:
- Provide technical leadership and be responsible for guiding the development of machine learning models into production
- Work closely with other data scientists, engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to drive the successful implementation of machine learning projects.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define long-term machine learning strategy, identifying opportunities to leverage data for business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Lead the design, development and deployment of advanced machine learning models, algorithms, and data pipelines to solve complex problems and improve business processes.
What you bring (Required):
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning, data science, and analytics with a proven track record of successfully leading complex projects.
- Experience developing and developing large-scale and/or real-time Machine Learning projects into production
- Extensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms, including a deep understanding of statistical modeling, and Python development tooling and libraries: Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, Pytest, PySpark,Airflow, MLflow, HuggingFace Transformers, Tensorflow or Pytorch.
- Proficiency in SQL and analytical warehouses (Snowflake)
- Demonstrated ability to elevate the Machine Learning discipline and foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill, with the ability to apply creative solutions to real-world challenges.
- Comfortable experimenting with and incorporating cutting-edge techniques into our existing system.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A Masters or Ph.D in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Data Science or related field is preferred.
What would be awesome to have (preferred):
- Prior experience with pricing predictions and/or time-series forecasting
- Generative AI experience is a plus, not required
