This role provides support to HIMSS products and services through implementation of programs for the HIMSS social brand, campaigns, and global live events. Additionally, this role will focus on growth opportunities for social, assisting the Senior Brand & Visual Manager with launching programs to support employee advocacy and social listening.

Essential Functions:

Act as social lead for HIMSS social accounts, conducting the following activities:

  • Keep up to date with social media trends, platform changes and intricacies
  • Be in a constant state of measurement, optimization and learning so we continue to grow and improve our ways of communicating via organic social
  • Producing daily social communication for HIMSS on designated social networks.
  • Boosting organic posts and contributing to social boosting strategy.
  • Working with internal and stakeholders as appropriate to handle social requests and regular initiative check-ins and campaigns.
  • Provide leadership and support strategies for HIMSS initiatives.
  • Manage and support social media for HIMSS live events.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2-years of experience in social media marketing.
  • Strong understanding and curiosity of the ever-evolving social media landscape (trends, platforms, metrics.)
  • Experience managing Sprout for social channels.
  • Experience managing and creating content for multiple social media channels.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social networking, such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok for the professional environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Effective listener.
  • Ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders, members, and team members
  • Strong planning skills, both strategic and tactical
  • Wrike or other project management software experience is a plus.
  • Background or knowledge in healthcare, information systems and technology is a plus.
