The Role

SEO Strategist (Lead Marketing Manager)

The SEO Strategist is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive SEO campaigns to enhance the online visibility and search engine rankings of our brand websites. This role requires a deep understanding of search engine optimization techniques, audience targeting, and digital performance analysis. The SEO Strategist will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure the success of our website’s SEO efforts.

This is a pivotal role that will engage in close collaboration with various cross-functional teams, including marketing managers, content creators, web designers, web developers, the brand team, and more, to collectively drive and amplify organic traffic growth. Proficiency with SEO tools, Google Analytics, and other relevant platforms is essential. The SEO Strategist will play a vital role in shaping the online presence of our services through effective SEO strategies.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to increase the visibility of our brand websites.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research and analysis to identify high-potential keywords for optimization.
  • Collaborate with content teams to optimize website content, ensuring it aligns with SEO best practices and targets relevant keywords.
  • Perform comprehensive competitor SEO analysis to identify industry trends, benchmark our performance, and uncover opportunities for enhancing our website’s search engine visibility and rankings.
  • Conduct thorough content and keyword gap analyses to identify opportunities for creating relevant content and optimizing keywords, contributing to improved search rankings and organic traffic.
  • Conduct in-depth SEO technical audits to assess website health, identify technical issues affecting search performance, and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.
  • Identify opportunities for on-page and off-page optimization to improve search engine rankings.
  • Collaborate closely with content, social media, marketing managers and regional marketing managers to ensure seamless alignment of SEO strategies with overall marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and algorithm updates to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics to assess the impact of SEO efforts.
  • Create and manage link-building campaigns to improve domain authority and search engine rankings.
  • Implement and refine local SEO strategies to enhance visibility within specific geographic areas, driving increased online presence and engagement on a regional level.
  • Manage and optimize local listings to ensure accurate and consistent information across online directories, enhancing local search visibility and user experience.
  • Collaborate with web developers to implement technical SEO enhancements, such as site speed optimization and schema markup.
  • Establish and manage ranking and traffic alerts to promptly identify and report potential SEO issues, enabling timely resolution and optimization efforts.
  • Provide regular reports on SEO performance, highlighting key metrics and insights to stakeholders.
  • Take a proactive role in educating and advocating for SEO best practices within the organization, fostering a culture of SEO awareness and alignment across teams.
  • Continuously refine and optimize SEO strategies based on data-driven insights

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO strategy and implementation.
  • Proven track record of driving organic search growth and improving search engine rankings.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting data to inform SEO decisions.
  • Knowledgeable in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with various content management systems (CMS), highlighting the capability to effectively manage and optimize website content for SEO purposes.
  • Substantial experience in local search optimization, along with a demonstrated track record of successfully enhancing local SEO performance and visibility.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple SEO projects, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating internal cross functional teams and with third-party agencies to effectively coordinate and achieve SEO goals through strategic partnerships.
  • Proficiency in using regular and enterprise SEO tools and platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Preferred

  • Master’s Degree
  • Previous experience in the telecom or technology industry.
  • Experience in-house SEO settings, showcasing the ability to drive successful SEO strategies within an organizational setting.
  • Experience with forecasting SEO outcomes and setting performance benchmarks.
  • Familiarity with brand marketing principles.
