Contract SEO Specialist – RemoteREMOTE IN USA

You are the consummate SEO professional: left- and right-brained, equally adept at leading SEO strategies and implementation. You’re confident in your ability to quickly understand a company and help them craft goals for meeting their business and user needs then build a roadmap of strategies and tactics to refine their experience to meet those goals.

You are comfortable designing SEO strategies, from asking the right questions to aligning to business needs and prioritizing the necessary SEO tactics. You’ve worked with websites with global footprints and are familiar with both the technical and on-page implications of international SEO.   • Collaborate with business stakeholders and project teams to help define holistic goals, strategies, tactics, and success metrics for digital experiences through quantitative and qualitative research practices and domain knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Help EPAM clients identify their SEO gaps and opportunities as well as use data to extrapolate improvements to the experience ahead of site migrations, new website launches, and other strategic website initiatives
  • Lead workshops, interviews, and other strategic sessions to gather insights, build stakeholder consensus, and support client education
  • Develop recommendations and strategies to ensure their front-end content and back-end systems support these goals
  • Be the SEO point of contact and SME for the client you’re paired with, supporting them through iterative growth, changes in best practices, and troubleshooting any SEO challenges that arise
  • Assist clients in growing their competency in defining and implementing SEO best practices, contributing to their teams’ SEO literacy
  • Collaborate with content strategists, designers, developers, and business analysts to ensure new digital experiences


  • 7+ years of professional experience in SEO and digital strategy
  • Experience producing SEO deliverables, including, but not limited to, strategy briefs, SEO content audits, gap analyses, competitive analysis, website migration checklists, keyword research, technical SEO audits, and SERP landscape analysis
  • Proven success in utilizing analytics platforms and data to provide strategic recommendations and drive concrete action against business goals
  • Experience working with SEO in multiple industry verticals (e.g., financial services, healthcare, eCommerce)
  • Able to present complex deliverables in plain language to drive action and engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Confident speaking to search intent, competitor niche saturation, backlink profiles, and SERP anomalies
  • Comfortable functioning in spaces with high ambiguity and adapt easily to changing environments
  • Experience with several enterprise CMS technologies
  • Strong written communication skills, including strategic and instructional documents
  • Strong consulting and presentation skills
