Job Description:

Amerit Fleet Solutions is looking for an SEO Specialist to join our marketing team! This role is ideal for someone who loves content optimization, SEO, and staying on top of the latest search trends and algorithm changes. This position will report to the Director of Digital Marketing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

SEO Strategy Development:

  • Research Keywords: Perform in-depth keyword research to identify opportunities for on-page and off-page optimization.
  • SEO Planning: Plan, develop, and execute SEO strategy that contribute to lead generation efforts.
  • Support conversion tracking, implement and support ideas to improve conversion rates across website pages.
  • Analyze Competitors: Monitor and analyze competitors to understand gaps and opportunities to increase keyword rankings and outperform competitors.

On-Page Optimization:

  • Optimize Content: Optimize existing content like blogs, landing pages, eBooks, etc. for targeted keywords, readability, and user experience.
  • Recommend optimizations for content based on keyword research insights and competitive opportunities.
  • Manage metadata: Optimize and write meta titles, descriptions, headers, image alt texts, etc. to make sure all pages follow current SEO best practices.
  • Technical Recommendations: Make recommendations to improve website architecture, page load speed, mobile optimization and crawlability.

Off-Page Optimization:

  • Link building: Create a comprehensive link-building strategy, including outreach, guest posting and partnerships.
  • Social Media: Use social media to help optimize content and drive traffic, contributing to SEO success.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor analytics and report on SEO performance using tools like GA4, Google Search Console, BrightEdge (preferred, not required).
  • Monitor KPIs: organic search traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rates, and user engagement metrics.
  • Provide clear reports on SEO progress, identifying areas for improvement and growth, and a strategy to achieve areas identified.

Understanding and Training:

  • Stay up to date and report out on best practices, algorithm updates and latest SEO trends.
  • Provide insight to how other marketing programs would benefit from SEO and align with SEO strategies.

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

  • Proven track record of successful SEO campaigns and content marketing strategies
  • Proficiency in SEO tools like GA4, GSC, Google Tag Manager, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of proven experience in SEO.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency in WordPress preferred, not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of search algorithms and ranking factors.
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention for detail and strong analytical thinking.
  • Ability to deliver to deadlines, and maintain a highly efficient and organized work process.
