Job Description

Our Florida based financial software client, is looking for a contract to hire or direct hire SEM / SEO Specialist to join their team. The SEM / SEO Specialist will be responsible for digital marketing initiatives, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), social media (organic and paid), eCommerce, channel marketing, and identifying opportunities to optimize digital media investments and marketing effectiveness.

In this role, the SEM / SEO Specialist will provide performance reporting and translate data sets into actionable results, support the development of content creation across digital channels, make recommendations regarding content changes to drive current and future business, as well as test, report, optimize, and analyzes performance to identify key levers and opportunities for improvements.

This role can be fully remote anywhere in the US. Open to contract-to-hire or candidates looking for direct hire.

Salary: $75,000 – $90,000, Based on Experience

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Digital, Design, Copywriting, and Account Management teams to strategize and implement SEO and SEM strategies across business segments
  • Conduct thorough and strategic keyword, market, and competitive research to support SEO, SEM, and paid social efforts across the organization
  • Analyze traffic, behavior, and conversion data to determine ongoing site optimization opportunities
  • Utilize data to set measurable SEO goals and create keyword, ranking, traffic, conversion, and revenue reporting for inbound users from organic search channel
  • Develop content strategies, including identifying audiences, content ideas, and promotion tactics
  • Work closely with Webmaster to identify technical SEO opportunities and resolve site health issues
  • Develop off-page SEO strategies, including inbound link, anchor text and domain analyses, and implementation
  • Create SEO content templates for key pages that support broader SEO strategies across corporate websites
  • Conduct A/B testing on evergreen and campaign webpages and microsites to drive scalable conversion optimization strategies
  • Management of SEM and paid social campaign builds across organization business units and products
  • Manage audifirst-party including first party data, lookalikes, and in-platform audiences
  • Support retargeting efforts and strategies across channels and products
  • Write ad copy and develop graphic and other creative recommendations in accordance with best practices, industry trends, and proven ability to optimize campaigns
  • Build paid search and paid social campaigns, monitor performance, and make copy, design, ad format, and bidding iterations to improve KPIs
  • Support building and documentation of department processes and workflows
  • Work with account management teams to determine goals and budget and advise on costs, expectations, outcomes, and processes
  • Ensure a positive ROI on spend and pay-per-click (PPC) ad campaigning
  • Provide detailed KPI reporting for paid search channels and regularly maintain and optimize campaigns for performance improvement

Qualifications:

  • A detailed understanding of practically applying PPC and SEO marketing principles
  • 3-6 years of experience as an SEO specialist, paid search marketer, and/or other relevant marketing experience
  • Data and web metrics analytical skills
  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
  • Comfortable analyzing high volumes of data on a daily basis and providing evidence-based recommendations
  • Proven ability to implement effective bidding strategies and improve CTR, CPC, and CR metrics
  • Understanding of dataflows across attribution channels for tracking and decision making
  • Working Knowledge of the following platforms: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Facebook Ads Manager, Twitter Ads Manager, YouTube Ads, SEMrush

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a PPC specialist or paid search specialist and/or SEO is preferred
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
