SEO Lead

Location: This position is remote within the United States.
We are looking for a SEO expert to join our team. Do you have a deep understanding of how content, content strategy, and SEO intersect? What You’ll Do
- Understand and impact how content and content strategy intersect with SEO
- Collaborate with client contacts, subject matter experts, and editors to create and refine content
- Recommend SEO approaches to website architecture, UI/UX, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for relevant keywords
- Monitor and improve SEO metrics such as crawl rate, indexation, and SERP rankings for keywords
- Gather and draw insights from data that can help define areas for improvement and optimization
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, and analytics teams to develop and manage A/B test optimizations, technical projects, and other SEO initiatives
- Improve conversions on clients’ organic marketing channels
- Provide sales support for digital marketing engagements including assistance in pricing and proposal
- Oversee a small SEO team
- Responsible for scaling the offering and evangelizing the work of the team
- Responsible for resourcing, utilization, and staffing of SEO needs
- Responsible for mentoring, coaching, and advocating for the team
Who You Are
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience working directly with clients on customer-facing digital marketing programs
- A strong understanding of all SEO standard methodologies such as user content optimization, meta-data optimization, SEO-friendly site architecture, technical SEO
- Experience with SEO tools and platforms
- Experience managing a small team
- Client facing experience required, agency experience preferred
