We’re seeking a talented and experienced SEO Editor to join our team and play a crucial role in crafting and refining long-form evergreen content. As an SEO Editor, you will collaborate closely with our SEO team, writers, and fellow editors to ensure that our content not only meets high editorial standards but also aligns seamlessly with SEO best practices. If you’re a meticulous editor with a background in iGaming, a love for sports, and a proven track record in delivering top-notch SEO content, we want to hear from you.
You will…
- Edit and optimize written content, ensuring it adheres to both editorial guidelines and SEO best practices.
- Demonstrate an exceptional attention to detail, catching and correcting errors in grammar, syntax, punctuation, and style.
- Collaborate effectively with SEO specialists and managers to implement keyword strategies and on-page optimization techniques.
- Manage a team of contract writers, providing clear feedback and guidance to enhance the quality and SEO value of their work.
- Edit and refine long-form evergreen content, ranging from 3000 to 7000 words, maintaining a consistent tone and style.
- Leverage your iGaming background and passion for sports to enhance the relevance and engagement of our content.
- Utilize your deep understanding of Content Management Systems (CMS) to efficiently navigate and publish content.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, search engine algorithm updates, and emerging SEO techniques.
- Take the initiative to jump in and write content when needed, contributing to the creation of high-quality SEO-driven articles.
- Collaborate closely with the SEO team to identify content gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Job requirements
You have…
- 4+ years of experience in an editorial role, with a proven track record of editing and optimizing SEO-focused content.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to produce high-quality content that resonates with target audiences.
- Background in iGaming preferred, with a genuine interest and knowledge of the sports industry.
- Proficiency in implementing SEO best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and content structuring.
- Extensive experience working with various Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Adept at managing contract writers and providing constructive feedback to enhance content quality.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free, polished content.
- Ability to work collaboratively with SEO specialists, writers, and other team members.
- Self-motivated and capable of independently prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive attitude towards staying informed about industry trends and adapting to evolving SEO practices.
