About the role:

As a Senior Workday Developer specializing in integrations across HRIS and People systems, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex integrations within our Workday ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, Workday Analysts and vendors, and IT professionals to ensure seamless data flow and system connectivity. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing our overall HR and people operations efficiency.

This role is open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Area (125 mi. radius from 1 De Haro St, San Francisco) and NYC Metro Area (50 mi. radius from 131 W 55th St, New York)

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to gather integration requirements, design robust integration solutions, and create technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain inbound and outbound integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder), and other Workday integration tools.
  • Design and implement data transformation, mapping, and processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of integrations to identify and resolve issues, ensuring data integrity and system reliability.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integrations, including design documents, change logs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Ensure that all integrations comply with data security, privacy, and compliance standards, including GDPR and other relevant regulations.
  • Proactively monitor integrations, perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot any operational issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and third-party service providers to facilitate integrations and resolve any issues as needed.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, Workday updates, and emerging technologies to suggest improvements and optimize existing integrations.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years as a Workday Developer with a focus on integrations.
  • Strong proficiency in Workday integration technologies, including Workday Studio, EIBs, and custom report transformations, Workday security, BP administration, alert notification, advanced report writing and calculated fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday APIs and Web Services.
  • Familiarity with integration middleware platforms like Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, or Informatica.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Able to identify root causes and communicate solutions to teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Provide accurate work estimates to COEs and team members.
  • Strong analysis skills, able to provide additional recommendations for improving data flows and/or operational workflows. Collect requirements and modify to execute the most optimal solution across systems.
  • Strong prioritization skills, ability to manage workload and requirements from stakeholders.

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Custom integration experience with Headcount and Recruiting Systems (Adaptive, Greenhouse)
  • Experience with Workday Extend
