Senior UX Visual Designer

Location: United States – Remote

Are you a Senior UX Visual Designer that has a balance of 70% UX and 30% Visual design skills? Do you have a portfolio full of business-to-business design samples? Our client is seeking a Senior UX Visual Designer who will serve as a subject matter lead and expert in visual design and digital customer/user experience. This position will be working under the guidance of our UX Design Lead and collaborate with the Digital Marketing team.

The ideal candidate will work with the brand and creative team to help enhance our company’s digital footprint, user experience, awareness and digital content on website properties and other digital and mobile channels and applications. This person will collaborate, support and guide our Corporate Digital Marketing and Communications team and business units with their digital projects to help them improve user engagement and apply on-brand visual guidelines and design best practices.

The UX Visual Designer will work in creating an outstanding e-commerce experience through customer engagement and visuals, bridging the gap between graphic design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides by defining the UI/UX design and then translating wireframes and mockups to actual code.

You Will:

  • Be excited for the opportunity to work on brand new websites and create designs from scratch
  • Use a good eye for creativity, and website design; since the client has such a small team, this person will really have an opportunity to highlight and showcase the brand on a new website
  • Have control and decision making authority
  • Be a part of a team that is attempting to go live with 40K re-designed webpages in early 2024
  • Be responsible for the company’s digital footprint, conceptualizing, designing, developing and maintaining digital content, features, functionality, and experiences on our website and other digital and mobile platforms
  • Improve the client’s digital ecosystem, acting as the visual design and user experience liaison between business units, other stakeholders and developers by applying on-brand best UI/UX design practices
  • Maintain the website and keep it looking fresh by creating programs that ensure the graphic elements are up to date, on brand and comply with best UI/UX practices
  • Apply technical skills to recommend solid, achievable solutions, clearly explain complex ideas/alternatives/risks, communicate a project vision, and satisfy requirements
  • Work closely with designers and the back-end developers to manage and coordinate web and graphic design schedules and help prioritize activities
  • Create design deliverables such as process flows, wireframes, mockups, and functional prototypes
  • Create assets from mockups and work with Development on integrating them
  • Ensure cross-device and cross-browser compatibility with consistent and maintainable branding, style/tone, and code
  • Use exceptional written language and communication skills, including some technical writing of software specifications and end-user documentation

You Have:

  • 7+ plus years’ experience in designing and managing website features/functionality, helping to define digital content strategy, and creating digital web experiences for B2B brands
  • Enterprise client experience and multiple B2B samples to show in portfolios and on resumes
  • 70% UX design experience, 30% visual design experience
  • Design system experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in web design, web development, or related program
  • Positive attitude and out-of-the-box thinker
  • Ability to confidently and comfortably make decisions
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing web based UI
  • Experience with Responsive Web Design
  • Extensive and diverse knowledge of web design principles, with strong and extensive experience with UX/UI design
  • Experience in task coordination, team building, end user training, and implementing short- and long-range goals
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, and other pre-visualizing software
  • Knowledge in styling UI systems like Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.
  • Navigation in a fast-paced agile environment requiring independent self-direction with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication


  • Projected Start Date: ASAP (after backgrounds clear)
  • Duration: 3-6 month contract with possible extension and/or conversion to full-time
  • Hours/Week: full-time
  • Onsite/offsite: fully remote, location anywhere in the US
  • Laptop/Program Requirements: either talent can use their own computer or client can send a computer if needed. Industry design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, and other pre-visualizing software, knowledge in styling UI systems like Bootstrap, Foundation, etc., experience with HTML5, CSS.
