Players can easily purchase specific items through Xsolla Web Shop and have them delivered directly to their in-game accounts.

Role Overview

As a Senior UX Researcher for the Web Shop Solution at Xsolla, you will play a crucial role in comprehending and elevating the user experience for both Game Development Companies and players. Your expertise will draw from a comprehensive range of knowledge sources, including product strategy, product analytics and metrics, market insights, client feedback, and direct communication with globally recognized Game Development Companies.

RESPONSBILITIES

  • Collaboration

-Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and developers, to identify areas for research and cultivate a collaborative environment.

-Emphasize the importance of involving product owners and designers in the research process to ensure a holistic understanding of user needs and seamless integration of findings into the product development cycle.

  • User Research

-Lead and execute user research initiatives, encompassing usability studies, interviews, and surveys. Uncover user insights, including needs, pain points, behaviors, tasks, and preferences of both game development companies and players.

  • Integration of Findings

-Effectively integrate user research findings into the design and development processes. Utilize techniques such as presentations, workshops, and brainstorms to ensure a seamless and collaborative workflow.

-Infuse a client-centric approach into every stage of the design and development process, ensuring that user feedback and preferences are at the forefront of decision-making.

  • Advocacy for User-Centric Culture

-Advocate for a user-centric culture within the organization, emphasizing the value of user research and ensuring its seamless integration into decision-making processes.

-Fuel the team’s passion for a client-centric approach, instilling the belief that understanding and prioritizing the client’s perspective are fundamental to delivering exceptional user experiences.

  • Innovative Methodologies

-Experiment and introduce innovative research methodologies to continuously raise the standard of user research within the organization. Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies impacting the UX landscape. We welcome the exploration of unmoderated tests, AI instruments, user platforms, and various tools, as long as they effectively address research needs and align to our specific audience

  • Mentorship and Collaboration

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a UX researcher, preferably in e-commerce, B2B ecosystems, digital products, or related to the game development sphere.
  • Expertise in conducting a variety of user research methodologies, including usability studies, interviews, surveys, and more.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing successful projects and the impact of user research on product development.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating user research findings into the design and development processes.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and developers.
  • A genuine passion for a client-centric approach, with a track record of infusing this ethos into design and development processes.

GOOD TO HAVE

  • Experience conducting user research on a global scale, understanding regional differences in user behavior and preferences.
  • Previous experience or familiarity with the gaming industry, including an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within this space.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, Computer Science or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the ability to adapt research processes to fit an Agile development environment.
