Akamai is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to apply user-centered design activities across Akamai. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of shipping great products that users love and that drive business outcomes. At Akamai, we believe that great design can transform businesses.
Partner with the best
As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will play a significant role in leading the design for major products and features. Working closely with product owners, you’ll lead design efforts from concept through launch.
As an User Experience Designer Senior II, you will be responsible for:
- Working closely with product teams and engineers to create wireframes and mockups for major projects as well as short-term tactical work
- Visualizing, designing and creating solutions to complex problems, taking broad, conceptual ideas and turning them into useful and valuable products,
- Working on a range of projects from loosely defined problems to specific features
- Developing a deep understanding of our product goals and technical details to design experiences that balance user, business, and engineering goals
- Designing within a reusable component framework and leveraging a design system methodology.
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusion principles and guidelines, and practical application of those guidelines.
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have 8 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in UX/UI design or a related field
- Be an expert in UX/UI design skills and best practices
- Demonstrate the ability to break down complex problems into elegant, intuitive, and cohesive user experiences
- Be a problem solver, quick study, self-starter, and excellent communicator with a passion for great design and the ability to achieve it
- Have experience designing for B2B SaaS products and Enterprise software
