We’re looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to join our team! In this role, you will play a fundamental role in our product development team as you define and drive exceptional user-experience design deliverables across multi-channel design initiatives. You will work in close collaboration with technology, product, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs then translating them into intuitive and engaging digital experiences. You must have a comprehensive understanding of the current state of web and mobile technology and best practices, with a critical awareness of implications on user-centered design and functionality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create sketches, wireframes, process flows and prototypes that define the interaction and/or interface for new and existing products and features
  • Work closely with our development and project management teams to document feature expectations, requirements, and design deliverables.
  • Design well thought out, cohesive user experiences across Desktop, iOS and Android platforms.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end design documentation for a project (including information architecture, flow maps, mid to high fidelity prototypes, style guides, and assets).
  • Advocate for user-centered design approaches and priorities.
  • Understand and articulate the information architecture, workflows, and processes surrounding the user experience for web and mobile.
  • Support and mentor design teams; Set up meetings and when required, dive deeply into issues to address them.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancements and evolution of the User Experience team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training

  • B.S. in human computer interaction, experience design, interaction design, cognitive science, information science, or related

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years’ experience in digital software product work with emphasis in UX design, Interface Design and interaction design
  • Professional experience creating user-centered applications that spans across web & mobile
  • Retail/e-commerce/mobile commerce design and a working experience with e-commerce platforms.
  • Ability to create low-fidelity interfaces to prove out a conceptual customer journey prior to high-fidelity design work.
  • Experience working within Sketch, Figma, InVision and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Must work well independently and have the ability to successfully participate and advocate for sound UX
  • Experience with native mobile apps (iOS and Android).
  • Must be an exceptional collaborator and persuader
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS and visual design and prototyping tools including Figma, Zeplin, Adobe CC, Sketch, and InVision.
  • Solid understanding and firsthand experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify.
  • Ability to thrive and deliver results within a fast-paced and frequently changing environment.
  • Strong time management, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
  • Possesses a “can do” attitude with proven ability to positively influence others.
