Senior UI-UX Designer
Location: United States – Remote Full-Time

Mountaintop is a new game studio creating multiplayer games for players that crave a challenge. We’re an independent, remote-first studio primarily located in the US and Canada.
We’re creating the types of games that bring people together — and keep them together for “just one more round.” The types of games that inspired us as kids. The games that become our hobbies, and sometimes our obsessions.

THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer who’s passionate about building extraordinary new experiences that inspire others. You’ll play a crucial role in bringing our first title to life.
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Designing, directing, and iterating on user interfaces (UI) that deliver amazing player experiences
- Creating visual designs for menus and in-game displays that are intuitive for players
- Collaborate with design, art, and product to ensure user experience goals are clear and understood by the broader team
- Implementing functional prototypes in-engine for feedback and iteration
- Codifying, improving, and maintaining design processes and workflows
- Creating a team culture that prides itself on excellence, innovation, trust, and respect
- Hiring and managing a team of internal/external UI designers (as applicable)
ABOUT YOU
- A love for playing and making amazing games
- A minimum of 4 years design experience, including at least one shipped title
- Experience working with Unreal Engine 4
- Experience creating wireframes and interactive mock-ups
- Experience building prototypes in-engine for feedback and iteration
- Self-motivated and eager to contribute in many different areas of development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
PLUSES
- Experience with animation and motion graphics
- Experience supporting a live service title
- A degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction/ Interface Design, Communication Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent
