Our Team

The Technical Program Management team at Axon lead technical initiatives across Axon. Technical Program Managers drive delivery of platform solutions, product, engineering, PDLC/SDLC, and infrastructure operations.
In Connected Devices, we are solving some of the hardest IoT challenges today. We design, deploy and manage 1000s of smart camera systems (both in-car and body-cameras) used by 100s of law enforcement agencies around the globe. For example, our Fleet3 product enables law enforcement officers collect video evidence in addition to accurately performing Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) in real-time using AI deep learning models deployed on device.

Fleet 3 is Axon’s next generation of dash camera for law enforcement. Not only will this be the best in-car video system on the market but it will include Axon’s newest artificial intelligence capabilities to incorporate live services and the ability to alert officers of vehicles of interests via smart license plate reading technology. Maintaining this system from end to end and leveraging the strengths of the Axon Ecosystem is a huge task.
With this mission, we are looking for an experienced program manager who has a track record of executing and coordinating complex software deliverables across multiple teams and job roles. Sitting at the middle of product, design, and engineering, you should love to build relationships across a wide variety of personalities, while driving the execution of the product. You will use your technical expertise and detail-oriented mindset to help identify, prioritize, and troubleshoot blockers and cross team dependencies.

What You’ll Do

Location: Remote anywhere in US or onsite in Seattle, WA or Scottsdale, AZ
Reports to: Director of Technical Program Management
Direct Reports: None
Your Day to Day

  • Coordinating across product managers, engineering, and design to set and drive all major software deliverables and make the entire organization more effective and data-driven.
  • Collaborating with the hardware program manager to ensure all deliverables are aligned and accomplished for our key program milestones.
  • Tracking all major road blocks and risks, identifying dependencies to help prioritize and parallelize work, while reporting this information up and out to the broader organization.
  • Leading by example with thoroughness, detail, and care for our customers.
  • Communicating regularly and effectively with our teams in Seattle, Scottsdale, Vietnam and Finland.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years work experience as a software project or program manager. Preference towards enterprise SaaS or embedded devices.
  • High degree of competency and proven success with project management including: Agile methodology, identifying and managing risks, tracking dependencies and milestones, and communicating overall project status.
  • You can identify dependencies, mitigate risks and meet deliverables through global cross-functional teams
  • Experience using JIRA.
  • Experience collaborating and working closely with remote and offshore team members.
  • Can create, read and understand detailed process and software architectural documentation.
  • You can learn quickly and get passionate about the underserved and unique needs of public safety.
  • You resonate with Axon’s Values and believe technology can be applied to tackle public safety’s biggest challenges.
  • You not only can accept critical feedback-you thrive off of it and can effectively communicate it to your peers as well.
