The Role: Senior Product Manager II, Data Platform and Business Intelligence

Job Location: US Based candidates only, fully remote flexibility

We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager (fully remote) to set and drive the strategic direction of Rue Gilt Groupes’ analytics platforms, which power our unique flash sales model and our most valuable asset: our data.

In this role, you will make a significant impact on both our business intelligence and data products to unlock insights for stakeholders and the overall business to drive the strategic direction of the company.


  • Lead the Product Management function for the RGG Business Intelligence and Data Platform engineering teams
  • Engage and communicate key updates to leadership
  • Work directly with internal customers (at all levels) and engineers to identify data platform and visualization requirements and discover new areas of innovation
  • Understand and quantify trade-offs to prioritize data and business intelligence engineering projects
  • Be an evangelist for data, data visualizations and self-service analytics
  • Write and manage user stories in an agile environment; develop short- and long-term strategic roadmaps
  • Be a champion of data quality

  • 5-7 years experience as a product manager in an Agile environment, ideally in the Data Products and Business Intelligence space
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a disparate set of stakeholders with a range of technical skills and data literacy
  • Proficient project management skills
  • Get things done mentality and more importantly, you motivate others to drive their tasks to completion as well Analytical chops and decision-making skills to diagnose and identify as well as formulate effective action plans to resolve issues
  • Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals
  • Nice to have experience writing SQL queries to explore and QA data
  • Nice to have basic understanding of statistics and statistical testing (A/B Testing)
  • Nice to have experience in ecommerce
