As a Systems Engineer III, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust hosting infrastructure. You’ll tackle challenges head-on, using your expertise to resolve complex technical issues and ensure seamless operations across multi-site networks. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring team members and driving technical innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and tune an enterprise datacenter environment, including multi-domain Windows Infrastructure, storage arrays, virtualization, and cutting-edge blade technology.
- Monitor resource usage and optimize performance, ensuring reliable capacity planning for future growth.
- Develop proactive procedures to minimize outages and enhance service continuity.
- Create and maintain detailed configuration and support documentation for seamless operations.
- Deliver technical assistance and professional support to staff, administrators, vendors, and partners.
- Resolve escalated help desk service requests with efficiency and expertise.
- Manage assigned projects to meet organizational objectives and timelines.
- Lead technical initiatives and mentor team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Oversee multi-site network operations and ensure consistent software application performance and regular maintenance.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 operational excellence.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in an IT Enterprise environment.
- Deep expertise with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, MFA, Microsoft RDS, and large farm environments.
- Proficiency in VMware vSphere Enterprise Plus, Veeam Enterprise Plus, and Office 365 Administration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
- Certifications such as VCP-DCV, MCSE, or Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate.
- Experience with HP Blade Systems, SANs (HP, Nimble, Pure), and Microsoft SQL Server (including Availability Group Failover).
- Background in healthcare or non-profit industries.
