As the Boulevard Platform evolves and scales, our Senior Engineers will be responsible for partnering with the team to build a technology strategy that supports both the product roadmap and a built-to-last scalable architecture that reliably enables the span of customer segments, verticals, and wellness marketplace.
As an eCommerce Senior Software Engineer II at Boulevard, you will be responsible for evolving our eCommerce platform to scale to international demand and expand a rapidly growing customer portfolio. You and your team members will continue to expand and develop the eCommerce platform to support multiple verticals and segments in the personal care space. You will participate in the growth of our customer-facing eCommerce experience and grow our existing monetizable product offerings.
What You’ll Do Here:
- Revamp the existing commerce data model.
- Close feature gaps from the current platform offering to customer demands.
- Design commerce systems for the future – reliability/scalability.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to create a stunning digital experience.
- Be surrounded by a community of inspired technologists eager to further each other’s growth and build the highest-value software product in the self-care industry!
- Write clean, readable, performant, secure, and documented code.
- Perform code reviews to maintain high code quality.
- Measure and monitor systems to make data-driven decisions; build dashboards for important metrics.
- Translate product requirements into approachable engineering tasks and designs.
- Support on-call rotation to learn the failure modes of deployed solutions and devise betterment strategies.
What You’ll Need To Thrive:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in an eCommerce engineering environment.
- 5+ years of relevant work building customer facing SaaS platforms.
- At least 5 years of functional programming experience as an engineer. Elixir or Erlang experience is a plus.
- Experience working with eCommerce flows, APIs, data models, and supporting databases.
- High standards for quality, demonstrated by ways of working and knowledge of QA principles and best practices using automated tests, logging, and metrics
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing secure and reliable systems on time.
- Ability to deliver fault tolerant and maintainable systems in large scale environments.
- Experience in handling multiple deadlines for various projects in a fast-moving team environment.

How We’ll Take Care Of You:
Your starting total cash compensation for this role is between $165,025 and $235,750, depending on your current skills, experience, training, and overall market demands. This total compensation range is subject to change, and there is always room for growth and advancement.
