At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

Remote: This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands

Duties: The Senior Software Engineer Experimentation Platform for GoDaddy.com, LLC in Tempe, Arizona will design, build, and ship backend systems with multiple tiers, including API, caching, and data access layers. Design data ETL pipelines. Use big data related technologies such as Spark, Airflow, and EMR to address experimentation use cases. Development of full-stack web applications written in Node and React. Maintain our platform infrastructure. Build and scale (100x) next generation experimentation platform to support internal and external customers. Participate in development of services and systems for gathering and analyzing experiment data. Perform code reviews and define best practices to bolster code quality and team performance. Continuously improve team Agile practices. Support junior engineers and mentor interns. Telecommuting permissible.

Salary: GoDaddy’s compensation may vary based on an individual’s qualifications at the time of the offer. The annual base salary range is $136,552 – $210,000 per year.

Location: Tempe, AZ

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of software engineering experience. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of software engineering experience. Experience must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: (1) back-end technologies, including Python or JavaScript; (2) front-end development using React, Redux, and NextJS; (3) designing and building systems using AWS technologies, including Lambdas, DynamoDB, EMR, Glue, or S3; (4) designing and building software platforms; (5) delivering production web services using modern frameworks across multiple technology stacks; (6) upgrading and improving CI/CD processes with GitHub and Jenkins; and (7) automation.
