Senior Software Engineer

Bentley Systems, Inc. is a pioneering global software development company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for infrastructure professionals. We are on the lookout for a seasonedSenior Software Engineerto enhance our Digital Experience Engineering Portals Team. This role offers a unique chance to engage with state-of-the-art cloud platforms withinMicrosoft Azure, collaborate with a talented team ofUX and UI designers, and utilize the latest UI technologies. You will be instrumental in crafting robust, and reusable React components and backend APIs for our dynamic Portals.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop intuitive front-end webpages and reliable backend services.
- Work closely withUX and UI designersto ensure seamless integration and user-centric design.
- Engage in an agile, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) software development process.
- Commit to writing testable, maintainable, and scalable code, while actively participating in peer reviews.
- Lead key products and features from conception to deployment, ensuring high-quality standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or software engineering from a reputable institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience outside of internships.
- Solid grasp of core Computer Science concepts including Algorithms, Data Structures, Operating Systems, and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in C#, JavaScript, and Typescript.
- Familiarity with Git or similar distributed version control systems.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile Development methodologies like SCRUM.
- In-depth understanding of HTTP and web service integration.
Essential Skills:
- Over 3 years of experience in the architecture and design of new and existing web systems.
- Expertise in C#, JavaScript, and Typescript.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with automated testing tools such as Jest, Playwright, and Selenium.
- Experience with frameworks or libraries like React, AngularJS, .NET Framework (including .NET Core), TypeScript / JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Webpack, Babel, Gulp.
- Practical knowledge of cloud services and REST Interfaces.
Preferred Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with tools such as VS Studio, VS Code, Chrome Dev tools, Postman, and Fiddler.
