Senior Social Media Strategist

Location: United States


Salary Range: $100,000 negotiable based on position details and background



SME -Individual Contributor (Owns the entire social process and initiatives)

  • For this position, your main result is to develop and execute a social media strategy that tells the entire story
  • Be a social media expert who’s extremely capable and experienced in developing exceptional ideas, creating and following a plan for implementation, and measuring the results that they produce across multiple social platforms.
  • Report to and collaborate with the Creative Director and to create a social media strategy that produces measurable results through increased brand awareness, content engagement, and additional metrics as required.
  • Manage and monitor all social media platforms to ensure content is produced for each channel, scheduled, and shared in accordance with our overall strategy and timelines
  • Know our products, know our clients and students, and know how to create content that supports multiple departments at the School.
  • Analyze and interpret data to provide social reporting, and constantly improve our strategy to align with our goals.
  • Be nimble, quick, and easily adaptable to change.
  • Learn and understand our audience, and tailor content with them specifically in mind.
  • Understand that your success in this role will not be measured by how many posts you create and share, but by the impact our content has publically as well as internally at the school.

You will be wildly successful if you have or are the following:

  • Five years of professional social media management experience. Agency experience or in-house at a large firm required.
  • Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite products.
  • Experience communicating with multiple departments and balancing the needs of many individuals.
  • Passionate about collaboration, content testing, and being willing to question every idea to ensure we are executing for the right reasons.
  • Have experience managing Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok, as well as the ability to learn any new platform that we start using.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of the social media industry and stay informed of the latest updates, new platforms, new technologies, and other industry trends.
  • Passionate about creating and documenting systems and processes.
