What you’ll work on:
- Deploy and maintain IAM services at Circle
- Create customization and integration within the IAM services that deliver the capabilities that allow Circle to move rapidly in the marketplace.
- Implement specific integration with both custom and off-the-shelf commercial solutions so that users have a remarkable experience.
- Implement and develop periodic review of user access across systems. Ensure that access is appropriate across all systems and that proper access is easily attestable.
- Day-to-day support activities, including on-call rotation, to ensure operational excellence including problem resolution, monitoring and tier-2 assistance.
- Maintain and revise IAM documentation to reflect current processes.
- Support other security team projects such as threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, audits, and custom tool building.
- Take on-call shifts to respond to critical alerts after-hours.

What you’ll bring to Circle:
- 5+ years of experience as an engineer with 3+ years of implementing identity and access systems.
- Enthusiasm for scalable, reproducible security management.
- Self-motivated and creative problem-solver able to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively across teams during high-stress situations.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and use good judgment to establish order of priorities on the fly.
- Understanding of IAM protocols and concepts such as SAML, OIDC, OAuth, and PAM.
- Experience with IAM technologies from Okta, Ping, Sailpoint, Savant or Microsoft.
- Familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001/27002 or the NIST Cybersecurity Framework is desirable.
- Experience working in financial services or financial technology desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity or related field; equivalent experience also accepted.
- Experience working in an AWS environment required.
- Software development skills in languages such as Python, Golang, or similar.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack and Apple MacOS preferred.
