This candidate will be part of a cross-functional team made up of a Project Manager, a Scrum Master, a Business Analyst, a Functional SME, Web Developers, Data Conversion Developers, Software Testers, a Technical Writer, Organizational Change Management Lead, and a Trainer. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with programmers, analysts, immediate supervisor, management, system users, operations, other State agencies and the private sector.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Builds and maintains working relationships with the State and project stakeholders
  • Serves as the State’s primary point of contact for project status, meetings, requirements, scope changes, financial, administrative, and technical aspects of the MIDASH Application
  • Cooperate with the various resource managers to ensure necessary project staffing
  • Validates activities comply with the project timeline and schedules
  • Ensure understanding of priorities, business needs, schedule, status, and deliverables amongst members of the business and technical teams
  • Manage day-to-day communication and ensure rapid resolution of requests and questions from business users and technical teams
  • Participate in sessions with business and technical teams to understand business needs, identify and design solutions, and develop use cases
  • Assist in creation of formal documentation for Business, Functional and Technical requirements, Functional and Technical Design, and Use Cases
  • Assist in development of formal Test Plans and test data in collaboration with the business and technical teams
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing sessions with Business Users
  • Identify UX/UI improvements, alternative workflows, and other enhancements and proactively communicate with application team and clients.
  • Identify and initiate resolutions to user problems and concerns associated with web applications
  • Lead the team in solving complex and/or critical issues.
  • Prepare written and visual materials for technical review meetings, approval sessions, and application demonstrations

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager
  • 5+ years of experience with all phases of SDLC
  • 2+ years of experience managing Agile Development projects
  • Solid presentation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, scope, resources, and schedule
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and proactively manage risk, ensure appropriate prioritization and communication of issues, and manage stakeholder communication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical study
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Project Management Institute Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP)
  • Experience in managing projects for State Government clients
  • Experience in resource management and staff development
  • SQL Assistant Experience
  • Experience developing web applications

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
